no offense mate, but they keep giving release dates and then delaying the release dates, so there is no point in announcing something like this when it's all done in their free time. i remember when they said skywind was going to release in 2014, did they release it? no, it was delayed and has been delayed indefinitely since as we have not heard from them since. so there is no point in giving a release date on these things, i wish they would just release it as is and update it as people play it, but for whatever reason they don't want to do this.

4:36 I'm pretty sure thats probably just a Lich. It's not a new enemy to Oblivion. I remember you fight one as a part of the quest you get with the house in Anvil, as well as them spawning in various dungeons at higher levels

I think Skywind wont be for awhile morrowind has alot more content than oblivion even if the map is smaller.

I just replayed Oblivion for the 1st time in 10+ years. It still hold up incredibly well. I will still very much be playing this upon release. Can we just all realize we will see Oblivion tutorial videos in 2025!!!

I've said it before that Bethesda owes these people because Bethesda after fallout 3 hit really lazy and pretty much just leave everything to the modders. That said though they probably do it because they know they can get a away with. Make a world with a few npcs and fill it up with a few mmo style fetch quests and charge £70 and then let modders fill the game with content for free. I'd personally thought pay these people and then realese the game or buy the game and give them royalties and maybe offrr them testings teams and so on and just release it as a remake or remaster. I mean we're inevitably going to get another 16 Skyrims before TES6 so why not Morrowind and Oblivion? The actual good ones

5:34 Goblin chef..... Bethesda should do what Valve did with the Black Mesa remake (the first Half Life game). Let them sell the game on Steam, for a percentage to Bethesda. With this level of dedication, I think a lot of players would be interested buying Skyblivion.

The undead coming out of the sarcophagus strongly reminds me of OB's liches - perhaps it is a unique take on the King of Miscarcand, one of the unique liches and who appears in an Ayleid ruin?

Something to remember about oblivion is the terrain was randomly generated. This team had to recreate the entire terrain by hand to make it accurate which is insane.

I think it would be super awesome if Bethesda(Microsoft) just made this an official remake. Give the team making it some help and money and just release it. Maybe with Bethesdas help they might be able to bring it to consoles too. That would be cool.

It blows my mind that talented devs spend so much time creating a free mod for a game they didn't create and are just fans of. Not a shot at them, it's cool they love it that much. So many people pouring thousands of hours of free time into mods of their favorite games. Personally, I'm making my own smaller game with the hope of making at least a little money if I'm spending hundreds of hours lol. That doesn't mean I don't love the process, I do, and I'd do it for free too, but I'd rather create a new game with new deas that I want to play and want others to love.

I think that “dragon priest” is just a Lich, that they used some new skyrim animations for. Makes sense, the enemies are pretty similar: both us staffs and magic

Yo Matty, had a crispy tofu tip for you off of Constellation and didn't know where to hit you up! So if you take your chopped tofu pieces and mix them in a Ziploc bag with POTATO STARCH and then your usual seasonings: salt, pepper, granulated garlic, gochugaru, etc. Then let that bag come to room temperature, it'll all be good to crisp in a well oiled pan. Be patient with it, usually 5-7 minutes and flip for another 5-7 minutes. Patience is key with tofu! Hope that helps your recipes 🫡

This is peak modding, pretty much a a free remake. Most of these projects end up canned sooner or later, so kudos to all the team for never giving up, especially considering there's no monetary incentive in doing this.

Something I'm excited for regarding the modding community is a "Midjouney AI mooder" tool. We've all seen quite recently the flood of "AI ART" in our socials, whatever on's opinion about it might be, but, my take is to look to the future and also where similar technologies can get used to make gaming and especially modding significantly more democratic. Imagine getting a Bethesda game in 2030, and as wonderful as the game is, there's bits ya don't like, and, the modding community hasn't got round to adding options as a mod, or "fixing" your pet issue ... but, hey, wait, you've got no real complaint, because it's 2030 and there''s AI modding tools that you can tell in casual conversational language what you want, and, it'll make a mod for the thing and all the things you want. :) On top of that, by 2030 the AI dev-mod tool may be sophisticated enough to whip out entire game conversions like Skyblivion, or Skywind with maybe a just a few weeks worth of non-stop coffee from the creative prompting the AI to do all the things to make the bigger thing. In that way, perhaps, we won't wait for years for big DLC sized mods like this. However, the downside of such ease of creativity will oversaturate and flood the modding community with so much repetitive and poorly developed trash, the proliferation of mods resulting from such tools could result in significantly greater difficulty in sorting through mod lists to find a one that works for you out of dozens that may be similar. eh. that's where me brain goes sometimes

I think 2025 will be a conservative estimate, as they have previously said they don't like giving an estimate since they don't want to disappoint anyone. So perhaps they know for sure they will make the 2025 release window and hope to surprise everyone when it comes out next year.

8:40 id like to pause to talk about how its weirdly just bethesda who is like this, other game studios take frictional even for example see absolutely no issue in putting an asset from one of there properties into a different one of there properties, in fact to most game studios it just makes sense to do.

I ran into my old high school church youth group leader on Sunday. Haven't seen the guy since 2007. He works at PlayStation on game cinematics. He told me he worked on the Horizon Zero Dawn as well as the DLC. I didn't ask if he'd worked on Forbidden West, but I would like to think he did. He apparently is also working on a few very-early-in-development projects for PlayStation. Don't ask me what those are because I didn't ask my friend, so I have no idea.
