I’ve worked with Shawn in Dallas. He is just as genuine in person as he is on KZbin. And, yes, he can hit it over 300 right and left handed.

@@Bronco-Bill How tall is he? He's obviously got tons of experience and a very efficient swing, but I've long suspected that his height may be a contributing factor for how he's able to swing so quickly at his age. He looks like he's a good 6'2 in the videos but it's hard to tell.

Coming into impact, how much power is left hand and right hand contributing? He shows the 'slap' with just the right hand. Is his swing MOSTLY or ALL right hand and right side powered?

I would have to ask him but the EMG data is showing that despite what great golfers say they might feel, most of the power and muscle activation is coming from the right arm and right pec as a unit

Brandon. Just one critique from watching your videos. Cerebrally you’re plan for each video is good but inside the video especially when using teachers like Eric and Malaska you come across to me distracted almost waiting to give your input to their instruction and you move around a lot when they are teaching which pulls my focus away somewhat from them. Just my observation, keep up the good work.

I purchased your "Building your Reactionary golf swing" series and it has been very helpful. That led me to Tom Tomasello (former Homer Kelly proponent) and Cooper Osborne. All advocate the arms first swing. This trail side focus has had a huge positive impact on my swing and I attribute much of my improvement to Be Better Golf! Thanks again!

His lower level drills look like Bryson DeChambeau’s swing. I love the width in the backswing, but I question width in the downswing. My understanding is that the golf swing travels on two arcs ... a wide arc going back but a much narrower arc on the downswing. Eric seems to contradict established orthodoxy.

The reason the downswing are looks more narrow is due to the lateral shift towards the target. The backswing and downswing arcs are actually pretty similar.

It is just a perception. Due to the body moving forward. You want width in downswing (at right moment) to create tension and friction in your body and ground. Btw: don’t overthink it. It should just happen as a product.

John Snider Disagrees. If you trace the clubhead in the backswing and then on the downswing, the downswing arc is noticeably more narrow. It has nothing to do with weight shift.

Stefan Pete Thanks for the reply. The downswing arc is more narrow due to lag. In fact, you want a wider backswing arc and more narrow downswing arc to generate clubhead speed. It is because of lag created on the downswing. Look at Hogan in my picture. He had incredible lag. The greater the differential between the two, the greater the clubhead speed.
