I heard this story from when I was 9 years old and in 5th grade which was long before Scary Stories to Tell in The Dark came out. My teacher took my classmates and I to the library, it was probably October which is why librarian did what she did but, anyway, the librarian showed us a live action film of this story and it scared tf outta me.
