just to clarify things, trans is new , when they put the bell housing on it wasn't trimmed back enough, and the converter they did not install it all the in it was only in on the second grove, that's what caused it to get stuck on the shaft , and metal shavings are definitely from converter teeth , it's a new bad boy built th 400, and now that it was torn down and inspected and cleaned, bell housing fit, new converter, it's ready to rip... good deal let it eat my brother

That trans is fine, converter got damaged. New converter n send it

When the bellhousing broke it might have warped the input shaft

I explained it poorly in the video, but after they broke the bellhousing, the trans was totally gone through. Possible that it did tweak it and it was missed

Im not talking crap but if whoever put the bellhousing on couldnt cut it correctly, there is almost zero chance the trans was built properly. The converter being completely dry of fluid isnt a good sign. Thats just a stock valve body converted to be a transbrake. Usually junk. Im not sure why you think its such a good transmission without taking it apart, if it has a stock 16 element sprag and cast iron forward clutch hub its not going to hold much power. If and when you need it gone through im over in lansing and can help you out. just let me know i build about 4-6 a month

trans was not built by the people that installed the bell housing, trans was built put in a car broke the housing then sold to a different person that then installed the bell housing, and i agree that they didn't know what they were doing obviously, but trans does have some great parts internally, came from a very reputable racer that goes fast ,

tony modifies his own valve bodies himself also, and i think he is one of the best builders in michigan, he knows the tricks, 4l80 drum extra clutch's, he knows what the weak points are and has tricks for them, it's all in the separator plates and routing on the valve bodies, it's a nice piece, just the bell and converter was not installed correctly, guy that broke the case goes fast so i'm sure it is not stock lol

​@@MMCGRACING Everything we seen in this video says different though. Just because a guy thats fast sells you a transmission, doesn't make it awesome. Its pretty obvious you're somehow connected to this transmission, you've went through the commemts defending it more than just a viewer. Guess we will all see when it gets put to use or fully opened up, whatevers first.
