Honestly haven’t been so excited for Manor Lords since I saw the mad world trailer for gears of war 1 back on 360. It’s going to be a good year for RTS players in 2024 Anvil Empires looks fantastic too, I’ve recently gotten into foxhole and If it’s anything like that but medieval I’m all for it

And I don't necessarily want to play them all, but there are a good amount I want to play just based on the footage and description. Field of Glory Kingdoms is the one I'm really looking forward to since I've been a huge fan of Ageod for over a decade now.

Sea power Naval combat in the missile age looks like it has crazy potential, dont think there is anything like that around at the moment. Manor lords is also looking pretty good as well. Im 100% going to put both on the steam wish list.

Cool list, thanks for sharing Pax Augusta, haven’t heard of it until now. I was just thinking about how there hasn’t been a recent city builder set in Roman times. I loved Caesar 3 and Grand Ages: Rome. I’ve been wanting a new game set in that era for a while now.

One also interesting addition to the list is World, Warfare & Economics, made by Okron Studio and releasing as an Early access in 2 days Mixing complex and detailed geopolitical simulation with strategy, diplomacy, nation Building and Development, Hundreds of years of tech and even Space exploration Another one is Ascendance, developed by an Ex-Stellaris modder Basically is Stellaris on steroids, is even more complex and Big than Distant Worlds Saga, with galaxies Up to 20k stars and each star can have dozens of celestial bodies

Looks like their is going to be a little something for EVERYONE next year. Seriously, SO MANY GAMES! Arcane Wilds, Manor Lords, Kaiserpunk, Falling Frontiers and Espiocracy are certainly the Standouts. Broken Arrow and Homeworld 3 are probably going to be the Heavy Weights. The rest certainly fall into their own neighs.

Have you considered co-op with second wind? They don't really have anyone into RTS, 4x and grand strategy and they do work a lot with freelancers

Manor lord looks so cool. I just restarted playing Rimworld, so it's pretty much my jam. Otherwise I'm really looking forward to Homeworld 3, playing the sh*t out of one and two, but I'm a bit afraid of getting overwhelmed by modern RTS. I just really wanna play something with spacebattles with agile small interceptors and bombers as well as capital ships firing broadsides across the battlefield

These games have nice graphics and 3D rendering, but I wish game designers would concentrate more on strategy, game mechanics, characters and storyline. Some of the best games I played had 16 colors and less than a million pixels.

Every 4x game either has no city building, or a horribly simplified combat, or both. Ara History Untold is everything i've wanted as far as i can tell City Building Geopolitics Total war combat Just need a mod that caps the game at the 1500s and we can have a brand new Crusader Kings experience

The Paradox paradox. A strategy fan can't help but like Paradox games. The problem is they aren't making actual games anymore. They are releasing parts of a game a piece or two at a time and then overcharging for each piece. They aren't making games they are making platforms for the distribution of DLC that after a few years and a few hundred dollars a feature complete title may emerge. Want to experience a feature complete EU 3? From release you would need to wait several years and spend about 350$ to get it. It's disgusting.

Also also, have you heard of Fragile Existence? Survival rts where you are a fleet outrunning the aliens that killed earth. '24 release and it looks really good. Qubiquest looks awesome, reminds me of Diplomacy Is Not An Option. Pax Augusta looks extremely impressive oh my god. Kaiserpunk looks amazing, long live the Hun. Frostpunk 2, nuff said.
