The 1st box that you opened has the Elegant Writer Calligraphy pen’s. I don’t use them for calligraphy. Instead, I use the on watercolor paper and then wet them with a brush. It changes into different colors. Usually blues when wet, and pink hues when you pull water off. I LOVE those!!!

Hi Sarah loved the video it's so nice of Jazzie to send you the big box. My older brother plays War Hammer you put them togetter,paint them and then use them to play the game. The minis you got is just like my brothers war hammers the same excite thing the same process

I took some Calligraphy classes with Speedball pens, nibs and inks back in Summer school between 6th grade and Jr high I think. It takes some practice just learning to control holding the angle of the pen consistently and going at the right speed to get the look you are going for. Like make a bunch of o's and l's same as if you were learning the alphabet. Learn to make shapes, then alter them for each letter. I think those Elegant Writer pens are also able to be water activated and if you add some water with a brush to them they turn into a variety of other colors. Looks really cool. Like if you are out sketching and can't bring a bunch of paint you could just use one of those pens and add water for shading and stuff. I really want that set

It was SO ADORABLE how excited you were about the minis! At first you seemed like you were trying to be more excited about it than you really were, but then as you went further through it, you got more and more excited. It was palpable! It made me so excited to get mine, all over again. The hype is real! I can't wait until us less KZbiny people get ours :D. Because of how excited you got, I would love to see what you could do with the miniatures. Omg it would be so fun to make an army scene, but make everything "girly" as though a humanoid military squad was sent to Ponyville to help the mane 6 fight... OMG! They could be fighting Freddy Kruger!! Anyway, to add to this, I was going to say that if you want to get miniatures of things like nintendo characters, if you can't find them, an alternative is to 3D print them. I don't know about the US, but here in Canada, some of out libraries have 3D printers you can use for a super affordable base price. And I'm hella poor, so when I say it's affordable, it really is lol. And even after all of that, if that's not viable, perhaps you can find someone who has a printer who would be willing to print some things out for you, as like a commission or something. I would look up 3D print commissions on instagram... not that I've tried, but that's where I go if I want to find specific communities. I hope any of this helps, hon. miniatures are used for a variety of games. I paint zombicide figures (which if you like zombies is a very fun boardgame). The big ones are Dungeons and Dragons and Warhammer. There are other games that have minis like Marvel Crisis Protocol and a Star Wars one. If you want to see an amazing Mini painter, I suggest Sorostro on YT. Miniac is funs as well.

I don't think anyone has answered you about what kinds of miniatures are out there so I'll try and take a shot at it. There is ton of different stuff out there, and while actual licensed characters might be hard to come by, there should be a bunch of horror movie themed stuff. You know, "Legally Distinct" Jason and what not. Cuter stuff might be harder to come by just because of where the hobby started, but I can try and point you where to look. r/minipainting has a whole list of mini manufactures: www.reddit.com/r/minipainting/wiki/manufacturers One place you might try for some cuter stuff is Dark Sword Miniatures. www.darkswordminiatures.com/ A lot of their stuff is based off of fantasy artists' work, so there is a fair amount of cheesecake pinup style stuff just because of the nature of fantasy art in 70's and 80's, but they do stuff based on Stephanie Law. Stephanie Law is a pretty amazing watercolor painter, and they have some awesome stuff based on her work. I've been eyeing Tam Lin - Mounted Fairy for myself, it's pricey but it is a pretty hefty chunk of pewter, and no one has ever accused minis of being a cheap hobby. www.darkswordminiatures.com/shop/tam-lin-mounted-fairy/ They also have the Critter Kingdoms line, which is anthropomorphic fantasy models.
