Why you didn't mention the 2006 one?? Cannavaro got it just because he won the world cup whilst Etoo and Ronaldinho won la liga and champions league in that year? Zidane led Franace to the world cup and was the player of the tournament. In 2014 Neur deserved the award instead of Penaldo. Always going to be controversial as it's opinion based. Ronaldo can also keep his mouth in check since his 2013 win over Ribery was an absolute disgrace along with 2 of Messi's wins. On last year's ballon dor, Vini Jr just isn't as good as people like to make out. Yeah he was good in the in a few games but where was he for Brazil in the copa america? I would also make the case that without his pace he will not be the same player. When he gets old he will not be at this level anymore. Take away Rodri's pace and he's still the same player

He led Juventus all the way to the final of the champions league destroying the Galacticos real the defending champion, Serie A was much better than the EPL for producing two finalist.
