Located in Fernandina Beach FL (yes you heard that right) Philly Boyz Cheesesteaks has one of the hardest food challenges with cheesesteaks in America! That’s about as close as it gets without coming to Philly! It’s commendable! A lot of people get ketchup, mayo and pickles on their steak here but they’re weirdos IMO. It’s best just the way you got it. Cheesesteak with fried onions! I personally like a Sarcone’s roll but Amoroso is ok too. I’d eat there if I was in Florida!

Hey Joel, I believe that a "Hoagie" is a cold sandwich with lettuce, tomato and onion on it (sliced SUPER thin) and they have cheese, mayo and spices on it where the cheesesteaks are a hot sandwich that usually have the option of cooked onions, peppers and or mushrooms on it with your choice of cheese(s) and wid or widout cheesewhiz. That's the way I learned it in the midwest. I'm happy to learn of this place on the "other" side of the state I live in. Mostly, there is no good food down here keeping with the "you can NEVER be too rich or too thin" mantra they live on down here in Florida. It's one thing if they actually prepare the meat with different seasonings and marinades but they only thing is about the rolls that these restaurants do not make themselves.
