Located in Fernandina Beach FL (yes you heard that right) Philly Boyz Cheesesteaks has one of the hardest food challenges with cheesesteaks in America! This beef eating challenge and the longest sandwich eating challenge, called the palace steak challenge, only has a 60 minute time limit in order to get the $100 ish sandwich for free, fail and pay for the meal! It's one thing if they actually prepare the meat with different seasonings and marinades but they only thing is about the rolls that these restaurants do not make themselves. Hey Joel, I believe that a "Hoagie" is a cold sandwich with lettuce, tomato and onion on it (sliced SUPER thin) and they have cheese, mayo and spices on it where the cheesesteaks are a hot sandwich that usually have the option of cooked onions, peppers and or mushrooms on it with your choice of cheese(s) and wid or widout cheesewhiz. That's the way I learned it in the midwest. I'm happy to learn of this place on the "other" side of the state I live in. Mostly, there is no good food down here keeping with the "you can NEVER be too rich or too thin" mantra they live on down here in Florida. Philly cheesesteak is my favorite sandwich ever. I good eat one every day and not tired of it. Living a Mainely meat-based lifestyle. I have learned to make my cheese steak and instead of putting it on a hoagie roll. I either have some scrambled eggs on the side or I will make a chaffel as my bread vessel. And because I do eat some plants, onions and peppers are a must. So I was totally interested in watching this one. Amazing as always Joel!
