The biggest climb on UTMB Mozart 100

Reconnoitre of Schafberg, which is close to Salzburg in Austria. Top of the ascent is checkpoint number 7 (of 12) on the UTMB Mozart 100k endurance race for 2024

did you finish? I was suprised and didn't make the cutoff in tiefenbrunnau, which was a shame because i felt great and could have easily made it. Beeing at the back of the pack resulted of having ruined singletrails before me.

@leonda4817 The rain didn't make it easier 🙈🙈. I had a hard time to but managed to finish. I did the 81k The downhills were horrible mud slides

Yeah unfortunately I think this section in particular is going to be very slippery. It's been raining here most of the week!

@@cocky.yjogger Most of the route is gravel and tarmac or very easy trails, so it shouldn't be much of an issue for most of the way. This section is different though! The weather forecast says 5L per hour between 8-11. Before und after that almost no rain or no rain at all. The race is long and the conditions can differ a lot from valley to valley, so let's take the forecast with a grain of salt! Still not sure if i should bring a midlayer.
