But, a better example of saying something that she doesn't expect is to pay attention to very minor things during your conversation or her conversations with others. And don't through it out there in a creep way, ex: you hear how she doesn't like strawberry milk. Hang on to that little bit, and drop it in later. Like, "I'm gonna grab us a drink out the store, didn't't you say you loooove strawberry milk, I'll grab you that" then and smile. Lol. Say you were joking and don't spend any more time on it. The most important thing you said was basically to live in the moment. My mind goes to a time when I was with this woman on a date enjoying her company at a lakeside pizza place outside on a patio on a warm summer evening. As a guy, I've been on both sides of the situation you described. Being on the wrong side a few times really made me reconsider my game plan with women. It's still unpleasant when a woman who I like chooses someone else but I've gotten better at hiding the disappointment. Being happily married helps. I have nothing to gain or lose, so I can hold a conversation in anyway I want, because at the end of the night, I am still going home with the best lady there is. At my class reunion last year, I had four ladies hanging onto me much of the night. And at the end of the night, I went home without any of them. I'll almost guarantee what will change it. Adopt the attitude you have with the friends, towards the ones you want too. IOW, play the same game. It is your thoughts for romance that are getting in the way. Romance is NOT stage one, rather, friendship is. They reject you because of this, because they see nothing but perv coming out of NOT wanting to know them before romance comes on. The ones you don't want, want you, because they have seen that side of you, so the ones you want need to see it too. Save romance for when you KNOW them. The problem with a lot of modern dating advice like Marni’s is it hinges on asking you to show interest in some way asap, either by directly stating intent, flirting, or something similar. The problem with that is it invites rejection, and the sooner you do it the more likely you are to get rejected because she is going off of less information. You are automatically limiting yourself only to someone who likes you right away. A truly efficient dating system would be finding a way to demonstrate attractive qualities to someone for an extended period of time or until they show interest first, before you show interest, thereby logically having much more chance of success.

Plus, consider, all dating coaches are in the game to sell you additional product - their courses and books - and so each of their videos is designed to dangle a carrot under the noses of these young cats who think that all dating is essentially about being a pickup artist - so buying books and enrolling in courses is a no-brainer. Also, in order to monetize their videos on You Tube, the video has to be a minimum length - which means a LOT of time to fill with not so much information per video. If I had to, I could boil down each one of Marni's videos into 2 minutes or less each, there is literally so little info in each one.

I will admit, I sometimes still feel like an incel despite having a girlfriend, probably because I feel that my 20s were a waste, didn't have a serious relationship until the beginning of my 30s. It causes me to envy and resent couples out there younger than me, people who got to experience having a serious long-term relationship before I did and yes I know people will always say comparison is the thief of joy or don't compare yourself to others. But I believe it's always has been and always will be part of the human psyche, been that way since the beginning of time to feel upset and depressed when you feel you are not part of the norm. Because of that I feel like a forever permanent incel for all time, even when I did manage to get a girlfriend. So yeah even while I did have a girlfriend, I still felt like an incel. I don't see myself ever getting over this, it will be a pain and wound for the rest of my life. And I'm not afraid to admit that there have been times over the years I have hated being born male, because I know I'm not the only guy in the world that has this mindset, that men have to do everything in dating and relationships and seduction. Yes I know tons of people say what's the point of being angry and depressed over what didn't happen in the past or not? Well I'm entitled and I have a right to my mindset, I believe it's always been part of human nature or just the human psyche to always be sad and depressed or angry and resentful over good things that they wish happened to them in the past but didn't. I know I'm not afraid to admit I have had these thoughts, and I'm sure other guys have thought this way, we feel that if we had been born a woman, we would not have been single that long. Probably because women just have to exist and they are guaranteed attention and options from Men, that requires no skill or no social dynamics, no game or no seduction. Guys, men, have to know or learn all of these skills, behaviors, talk a certain way, behave a certain way, act a certain way, walk and stand a certain way, breathe a certain way, have a certain lifestyle, because leading or taking the lead is something that is behavior based, skill based, think a certain way, and many more things, that i either don't know or forgot. Women just have to exist and breathe and they are guaranteed attention, options, that doesn't require any learning or skill development, it mind boggles me and makes me annoyed when people say women need skills to succeed in dating. One person I remember I heard said that women need game as well which I thought was the stupidest thing I ever heard. So ya I still feel like an incel for all time despite managing to get a girlfriend eventually, and I still get irritated and annoyed whenever people and society say that men have it better than women do in the human mating game. And I don't get or understand why a guy or a human male or just a person in general has no right to feel depressed or feel bitter and forever resentful if they manage to get their first relationship late-in-life. For example, if a person doesn't have their first relationship until their 30s or 40s and older. People say that a person like that should still be happy, but I feel a person like that has to have a right to feel forever depressed and bitter and resentful because they feel that their youth went to waste or their youth was stolen from them. I think you're just stressed from fear and isolation. A lot of people from my perspective who have used the term intel seem to be dreaming perpetually about some life that fits the ideal of belonging to heal some epoch of life, maybe teenage years or mid twenties in times past. But the way to fill this gap is to just firmament or make new, old relational engagements with friends, and bring familial tradition back into theatre. We have to be the parents and the teachers and not the students and the kids. It's a perspectival shift but it's no worry because to be a good parent is to understand the nature of ourselves as children and revisit the toys and the theatre of it all. Touch base with your roots, don't sacrifice all your treasures.

Take this for what its worth. I knew what you were going to say about Brad over James before you said it. In my early years of dating I would see women at at table at dance clubs. I would wlak up and ask the one I was most attracted to for a dance. What I realized was after she saw me headed for the table she had her no ready before I got there. Hello Marni, I used to have a guy friend who was player. He could read women like a book. He was a jock, but not super muscular, he was good looking and dressed well. I used to go with him to the clubs and watch him get women. In fact, I used to watch the women rejecting guy after guy at the club. I would tell him go and get her. I bet you can not. He would watch her for a few minutes and tell me if he thinks he can get her. Just after watching her he would tell me if he can get her. He would always try and he was right if he could get her or not. He almost always got the girl in the club. He would dance with her a few times and start making out with her. He of course took her home and had sex with her. He would even show me her panties the next day. He was incredibly successful at taking women home from the club. What I would do is the women that rejected him because they thought he was a player and go talk to them about. How did I figure this out? I would ask my player friend. Somehow he knew and he was right. Some people would say I am just picking up his scraps, maybe but this helped to become more successful at the clubs.
