In this video, my good buddies Henry and Shane and I are out on the Trinity River, in search of fish that are bigger than we are!
We hook into a few really nice fish, before Henry hooks into a fish that literally pulls him into the river! With enough teamwork, we are able to land and release this absolute monster!

Wtf? Lol senselessly murdering with bow,,, wtf? Is NOTHING wrong with killing fish and nothing wrong with killing with bow and arrow a spear a rod and reel a net or any other way these fish are not endangered and the places they live in they are extremely abundant it’s hard to land once hook one and they don’t live everywhere so some idiots who live where they do not falsely think they so rare they are not but like the abundant thriving giant white sturgeon in pac nor west they are extremely abundant and thriving where they live they just don’t live everywhere. And with the exception of some invasive species who need to be culled and never released, as long as you eat what you kill there is NOTHING wrong with killing a fish regardless how big it is. You can catch dozens of gar or gator gar a day in places they thrive in. Just because you not have them up the road from your house who cares don’t be a judgy Karen kunt and in this sick sad day and age any time u post a video of killing anything hunting or fishing there’s always some idiots booing and hating it grow up gar are thriving all over and is nothing wrong with killing and eating them

@@fishncapt26 What doesn't make sense is saying "as long as you eat what you kill there is NOTHING wrong with killing a fish" (which I agree completely with) in relation to bow hunting gar. In theory, I have nothing against bowhunting gar. in practice however, If you've ever tried to bank fish a river where bow hunting gar is popular, then you would know that the vast majority of the hunters just kill them, then leave the carcasses on the bank. At best, drag them 20 ft back. Nothing like fly fishing for bass on a warm summer day, and getting to smell the rotten stink of a bunch of dead gar. That, is a crappy thing to do.

Great Fish ! I live in a Dallas suburb. We were boating and skiing in beautiful Lake Bridgeport a few years ago and saw an alligator gar that was much bigger than the one y’all were working with in this video. My friend was skiing , and I was being spotter on the boat, in her wake I saw this Massive head and long torpedo body of a massive gar. It seemed to be also playing in the wake she was making , it kept following her and surfacing about 2 ft behind her, cutting back and forth as she did ! I tried not to let her see my face (haha !) I swear it looked like jaws behind her ! She is 5’7” and 150 lbs, and this thing dwarfed her . Even though I knew it posed no threat to her, I was praying she wouldn’t fall until we got back to the main body of the lake ! We were skiing in finger of the lake that was about 100 ft across, I guess it was its lair ! Just MASSIVE ! DM me if you’d like to know the exact area and I’ll let you know .( Ty only). Man that would epic to see you catch that one! I know another great place too.
