Those puppies with the parti colouring, they look so much like Lagotto Romagnolo puppies, purebred and with half the maintenance required as doodles. There is one in my neighborhood, absolutely gorgeous and so well maintained and well mannered too. Just recently a Lagotto won Best in Show at Westminister.

Hello! Charlie is almost 4, I do agree her eyes look a little sleepy all the time! She is in great health, didn’t loose weight and loves taking care of her babies! We will get her a physical before she has her last litter. Thank you for caring for her! She is the best.

How often is the mother forced to have a litter and how many years does she bare litters? We adopted a female Golden Retriever when she was 7. Her former owners bought her from a backyard breeder and were hoping to breed her. They gave her away after 7 years of trying to breed her. She was the best and sweetest ever. Unfortunately she had bone spurs and eventually cancer. Cancer is rampant in Goldens. I had to send her over the Rainbow Bridge just after she turned 14. Good luck with your brood.

Moms have puppies 4 times total as long as things go smoothly, they are a good mom and enjoy it, and they are healthy. That is amazing you took in that mom! Sounds like the relationship was beautiful. Our moms are with their forever families from their puppy times on. At 8 weeks they go to their families!

Since you have decided not to put Honey into the breeding program are you thinking about putting the girl pup from Charlie's litter into your program so you can extend that line? Or was there another pup from Honey's litter that will carry on the lineage?

So the guardians go home, because they are weaning. The puppies stay with us until 8 weeks and we have other mom figures that socialize And play with them how their mom would have!
