I’ve got nothing but respect for Farriers. I was part of a Mounted division when I was a deputy. And we couldn’t do our work without the support of farriers. There was more than a couple times I would stay just to ask question and watch the work. It is beyond satisfying. Thanks for taking care of the animals.

@@caleberickson3-crossesfarrier those horses/officers are our best friends and the best back up anyone can ask for. And while they are extremely well trained, when you get them alone or out of their “uniform” in the pasture their personalities are on full display. I miss my Boy. But he is happily retired and enjoying an easy life he deserves.

I absolutely love the big guys! We used to feed with them in the winter. Draft horses usually don't get stuck, and their engines start easily in 30 below weather, lol. You really explained their hoof anatomy well. This video was spot on. Also, don't worry about people griping about the plastic you use to wrap the feathers. They've probably got an entire roll of Saran Wrap in their refrigerator, protecting all the tofu, bean sprouts, celery juice, and wheat germ. Thanks for sharing your skill. God bless 💜

Hey Caleb, thank you so much for taking the time to explain what you are doing. I love it and I believe it makes the videos so much more enjoyable and interesting to watch because up until now I never understood what was happening. I do think it would be awesome to know a little but more about the horse (Name, how much they way.. simple stuff). I would love to watch a video about how a horse got away from you while you were shoeing him/her and what happened? I'm sure there are some horror stories. I know I don't understand or can even comprehend how dangerous it is being under a horse when they get a little jumpy or scared. Just something to think about. Last suggestion, how about a video about you, 5 to 8 minutes about how you go into the trade? Financial investment? It's such a unique field and your love for horses / animals must be intense since (I think) you do this for a living. It's not really work, but I think a lifestyle and you are clearly ALL-IN and I respect that very much. That's all I got for now! Keep up the awesome work, I'm hooked!!! Just subscribed.
