I thought it wasn't movable at first, too, but then I watched an interview with the designers, where they said they calculated the load so that it is possible to carry the set by holding at the 2 support columns on the right and left sides. Can confirm that it holds its weight just fine and can be moved this way! =)

They do. Starting in 2015 they released the fairground mixer which is a take on the scrambler. 2017 they released the creator expert Ferris wheel, 2017 the carousel, 2019 this coaster and over Covid the loop coaster. Can’t wait to see what’s next!

Having built this set and motorized it, I can confirm this is one of my top 3 most satisfied Lego purchases. In fact, I have bought three more of them. Although I have not decided whether to MOC them together into a giant roller coaster or to keep them as investments, due to my inadequacy in MOCing😓, it says a lot about how good this set is!

It's an amazing set, and have always enjoyed the Creator Expert lineup of amusement park rides. Though I have the Mixer, Ferris Wheel, and Carrousel, price was a bit steep here at $480 Canadian to justify buying it. Sad to see it retire, but still really excited to see what Lego does after the most recent Haunted House set. Great review, and look back at the set.

I bought a few of these months ago from the lego store. Definitely key to build it properly and make sure the track it set at factory height. You won't be disappointed, the cars move very smooth like a Swiss watch. Impressive most Impressive ;)

I was considering picking it up for the nephew for when he's ready (old enough) for this kind of Lego, as it seems like a pretty fun thing to build, but the price is pretty steep already here, and it seems like a big model like this wouldn't survive long on a shelf :)

I just had to move and box up an already built one of these sets for the owner moving house. We slid it off the side of the table on to a thick honeycomb piece of cardboard so we could lower it into a box. I was intrigued at how it all worked so hence looking it up on youtube. Awesome to se it can be motorised as well.

It is also possible to attach the power functions battery box and the motor, but I think that the powered up hub, motor and a sensor is much better. 3:39

I don't know if it was that good though... the rubber band mechanism and the chain design made it so that a few months after I finished the set, it started cracking every time I tried to use it. I checked all my steps but I still couldn't fix it, so I eventually returned it. The money still went back to LEGO anyways because I bought the Lamborghini Sian like a week after that Edit: Yeah some might consider the Sian bad but I kind of like it (also I want to collect all the 1:8 cars that aren't retired yet)

The son of a guy I work with has one of these and a Death Star unbuilt. I’ve been trying to buy the Death Star but he has parts mixed in with the coaster set. I’m going to try to buy it all and sort it out myself.

I own this and it might be the only LEGO set that has made me regret later on. It's very large obviously and kinda hard to move around or store away. Also it's a nightmare when it comes to dusting because the thing is so huge and complex. Also the unreliablity of the lift hill catching the train is something that really shouldn't be allowed on a 400€ set. When I look at this set I think that it does look really cool and fun but I also question myself if it was totally worth buying. Kinda glad I did, but also I kinda regret it. Mixed feelings.

The roller coaster supports really should have been reinforced with technic pieces or made entirely of technic pieces because it just can't sustain the strain when the roller coaster is running and it brakes often especially the chain. The cars in particular shoot off sometimes. It is a nice set, but it has some major design flaws in stability that could have been easily rectified with a different choice of pieces for the supports.

There are other smaller coasters that would be more suitable for kids. I'd suggest the space roller coaster for your children.

The tracks needs to be adjusted occasionally but otherwise it works fine

The train and track combo is a bit half-baked and clunky. Without banked track and up-stop wheels too much momentum is lost to friction making more elaborate layouts impractical and unworkable. I hope lego revisit the idea in the future with better designed cars and track.
