Not exactly He's pointing out that people think that if they live in a self righteous way, they think it is all they need to get to heaven, but obviously this is wrong Then here comes the live righteously part. Of course we should repent after we received the knowledge of Jesus Christ. But now the focus is on Jesus. Not on us. We are then not dependent on our self righteous works and say that we now are eligible for heaven. Even the bible says that our righteous deeds are like filthy rags to God, do you really think that would matter, of course not! Now this does not mean we can go on a wild sinning spree. In my experience you will naturally start to drift away from sinning because of the Holy Spirit making you more like Jesus. I must also say that we are still sinners, we are not perfect. We all have fallen short to keep up to God's expectations

Because I am grateful for that salvation (which I could never have earned for myself in ANY way), I will do the will of my Father in Heaven. I can be assured of salvation, and therefore, it makes me want to do all the good that I can in this world, so when people see me they will say, this is a reflection of Christ and God on this Earth, praise God!

I don't agree with all of Ray's teaching but he nailed this one. More people will be in hell because they think they're not bad engough to deserve it than any other reason. All a person has to do to go to hell is be born and reach the age where they know the difference between right and wrong and commit just ONE SIN. It does not matter how many sins you commit or what type of sins you commit. The Bible says plainly, " For ALL have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God." and "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." The person who doesn't really believe they deserve hell for their sins CANNOT be saved until they admit it from the heart. Self-righteousness will send anyone to the lake of fire and brimstone forever. Admit you've sinned against God and that you deserve hell or you cannot be saved until you do!

Confusing (what must I do to be saved) and (what should I do now that I am saved) can be a costly mistake. Carnal Christians are a biblical reality and false teachers denie that fact as they preach a works based gospel.

Hello:) many people in this comment section don't understand the gist of what this man is saying. Ray is warning that repenting of our sins won't get us into Heaven. The belief that we can work our way into Heaven by doing good things and escape the Law which we *already broke* (the ten commandments) is self righteousness: the belief that we can make ourselves righteous. Jesus called us to repent when He preached to the gentiles, and calls us to be righteous, not because it's what gets us into Heaven but because as children of God who have received the Holy Spirit, we are to walk righteously, as a light to the world. Romans 5:1 "Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ" Romans 3:27-28 "Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? Of works? No, but by the law of faith. Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith apart from the deeds of the law." Romans 3:31 "Do we then make void the law through faith? Certainly not! On the contrary, we establish the law." NKJV The Law is not made void when someone is born again. The Law is meant to show us how utterly bad we've messed up and how we depend on God's role as our Savior, but that doesn't mean the sins listed there aren't still sins after you're born again.

There's a difference between lust and love. Lust is rooted in the flesh, while love is rooted in the spirit. Lust is temporary and comes from a physical desire, while love comes from God and examines the heart, rather than the physical appearance. He came to the Earth 2 thousand years ago, not to judge the world, but to save it. He willingly allowed himself to be crucified on the cross, so that He could save humanity from their sins. Our evil sins separate us from God, who is completely good and holy, but the sacrifice of Jesus paid the wages of our sins, so that we do not have to go to hell, and instead we can inherit eternal life in heaven. His righteousness was added onto everyone who repents of their sins and puts their trust in Him as Lord and Savior. If you feel any sense of fear in your life towards death or if you feel lost within the world. Please consider accepting Jesus Christ into your heart. He loves you with a love greater than this world and it doesn't matter what you have done or how you feel about yourself. His love is for all who want to live for something greater than this world and for something greater than themselves. Live for the eternal kingdom of God, not for this temporary and corrupted world. Jesus is The Truth. We must believe The Truth (The Word) in order to believe in Jesus! The Word of God is throughout scripture. Jesus tells people to sin no more after healing them. Jesus told the adulteress woman that He does not condemn her, but then He tells her to go and sin no more. He tells people that if your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. Jesus tells people not to sin all the time. We are told how we know The Truth in scripture. " And by this we know that we have come to know him, if we keep his commandments. The one who says “I have come to know him,” and does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in this person." (1 John 2:3-4)

Ray doesn’t seem to understand that the word repent comes from the Greek word metanoia, which means to change your mind. Repenting of sin is work and that takes away the glory of Christ dying for our sins.

Wrong, being humanitarian means nothing to God. Remember that the wages of sin is death not good deeds. Doing good things doesn’t cancel the wrong you did. Until one believes on Jesus their good deeds are in vain. And one can KNOW that they are going to heaven because Jesus said if we believe on Him that is to believe that He paid for all our sins at the cross and rose again the third day then He absolutely guarantees us that we will never be condemned John 5:24. And Ray comfort is a lying false prophet who’s measuring his righteousness compared to other people. Ray doesn’t believe Jesus paid it all.

Hell is where 'the body AND soul go to die' (according to Christ). The second death is where souls who are not saved are sent later on (after the great white throne judgement), and that is the lake of fire. So the first death would be when the body dies, and them the soul goes where it will be until the great white thrown judgement (Heaven or Hell), before the eternal city of New Jerusalem (Heaven), or the lake of fire (Hell's center) I also recommend you search the scripture, there is a lot about heaven and hell in Jeremiah, Isaiah, Matthew, and Revelations.
