Would it be poor or me to sell all my swsh boxes except of evolving bc I know someone who pays market price for all boxes of sword and to rebuy modern?

Other than Scarlett and Violet Base, what other S&V sets have gotten legitimate reprints? There have been restocks, but part of the reason the idea of reprints has ceased to have an impact on the price of these boxes is that we have not really seen reprints. At this point, even if there are some reprints, there won’t be a reprint for all of these S&V set, which means some of them at the very least will never get one and will be thus considered short printed. Right now, people are trying to guess which ones and are now just buying a lot of each new set and betting that some, if not all of them, will never see a reprint.

PE, OF have gotten reprints according to people with distribution access.

Your logic is not sound here. Because a set does not receive a pandemic era style “reprint” does not mean that it is short printed. It is entirely possible that Pokemon has stabilized its distribution and is just slowly releasing its stock of product over time, where this amount is still equal to older sets that did see large reprints, we just aren’t seeing it hit all at once like it did in the pandemic.

One of my lgs’s got a ton of sealed build and battle displays from somewhere….I mean multiple dozens of Fusion Strike forward to all current sets. Can get them for about $160 or less.

I agree. it's the cycle of pokemon. Set stops being printed and goes high. It's not like these SWSD sets are like SM base. I would be that won't reach $500 in 5 years. Humans have a dumb instinct of following the exciting and being scared when something crashes

What are your thoughts on Silver Tempest booster boxes? A lot of people keep telling me it's not that good of a set, but we can still get it for like €155 (European here yeah) so it might be worth it? Lugia is an amazing chase and the TG is solid

Sub $20 a pack for sealed packs of ES is alright. Sucks not buying a year ago, but that’ll look like an awesome entry point over the next 5-10 years.

If it's half the box they probably pulled the Alternate art and just didnt open the other packs. I did that with my astral radiance box. Once I got the Dialga Alternate art I stopped because I figured there wouldnt be anything good left. Went back a few mo ths later and opened the rest to find out I was right...there was nothing
