When the market starts to crash, emotions run high, and it can feel like chaos. We see our portfolios declining, the news hyping up fear, and the urge to panic sell can be overwhelming. But we need to remember that every market downturn is an opportunity, not a reason to panic. Throughout history, despite major crises, the market has always recovered and grown stronger. Our goal should be to manage our emotions, stay rational, and see these times as chances to buy more or hold steady, rather than making rash decisions. Let's focus on the long-term and avoid the common mistakes that can hurt our financial future.

Diversification is the secret to optimal performance. This is why I have my interests set on market sectors based on performance and projected growth, such as the EV sector, renewable energy, Tech, and Health. Safest approach i feel to go about it is to diversify investments. By spreading investments across different asset classes, like bonds, real estate, and international stocks, they can reduce the impact of a market meltdown. its important to seek the guidance of an expert

A lot of folks downplay the role of advlsors until being burnt by their own emotions. I remember couple summers back, after my lengthy divorce, I needed a good boost to help my business stay afloat, hence I researched for licensed advisors and came across someone of utmost qualifications. She's helped grow my reserve notwithstanding inflation, from $275k to $850k.

I lost over $80k when everything started to tank. Not because I was in an exchange that went belly up. I was just stupid to hold and because that's what everyone said. I'm still responsible. It just taught me to be a better investor now that I understand more of what could go wrong. Awhile back I read a book called "The Great Depression: A Diary" by Benjamin Roth. Roth was a businessman and attorney from Youngstown, OH that recorded news during the Great Depression. It is in the top 10 of business books I have read, honestly. What I learned is that the two hardest parts of investing by an average investor during recession/depression are 1) having the guts to do it and 2) having the cash to do it. Things can get very tight for the average family and to weather a 2-4 year storm is tough when they have to put food on the table. I think the best way to make money when you smell a recession coming is to tighten up hard on expenses needed for the next 4 years and invest all your other cash in the low-priced, high-quality stocks. Thanks for sharing your content, as always. You guys have a lot of wisdom and I hope others hear you loud and clear.

That is one of the best investing videos I've ever watched. Why do people get scared when stocks go "on sale"? As long as you have a long time horizon, it's nothing to be concerned about; it's something to get excited about. I agree. I *want* the stock market to go down big, so I can load up! I actually hate how the market has gone mostly up since the GFC. It has been like a blow-up ball in a pool. Every time it has gone down, it pops right back up. I've been frustrated by how much it has been going up.

This is value in a video, facts. I do have a suggestion please and maybe be the first doing this. Find a way to divide some of your videos into age segments or into newer and older investors in the market because this dip today feels different from someone who bought in 2022 than 2 weeks ago in terms of what to do. If you are negative, or barely positive is not a bad idea to trim a little for tax purposes and buy again after 30 days. I recently bought Nvidia around 110, went up and now seems to go down even further so I trimmed, wait my 30 days and buy again

Can you guys do a video so that when we hit the retirement age, and need to start using this money. What’s the proper way to make withdrawls.
@JustinCase-em6ql
@JustinCase-em6ql 11 күн бұрын
One word: Dividends. Forget drawdowns. When nearing retirement, build your investment account to be an income generating portfolio. Aim for between 4% - 6% portfolio yield. Yes, buy the low yield, always going to be around and always going to raise their dividend every year, boring companies along with REITs and BDCs. Take control of your money by rolling a 401k into an IRA, and do with it as you please. If you don't want to do this stuff, have your brokerage do it, but it will cost you some money. Link your bank with you brokerage company, and just do electronic distributions into your bank account.

The recent stock market crash, losing about 1.7 trillion in just 24 hours, is a stark reminder of how volatile the market can be. It's a challenging time for many investors, but it's crucial to stay informed and make decisions based on long-term goals. This underscores the importance of having a diversified portfolio and a sound investment strategy, ideally with guidance from a financial adviser to navigate these turbulent times effectively.

The recent stock market crash, losing about 1.7 trillion in just 24 hours, can be attributed to a mix of factors such as market volatility, geopolitical tensions, regulatory changes, unexpected economic data, overvaluation of stocks, and a correction phase after a prolonged bull market.

😂 That chart is misleading. It shows a long multi decade uptrend lasting 100 years. It discounts the negative 30-50% crashes and corrections as noise. That "noise" is compounded losses. Mathematically most people are breaking even at best. The "growth" is not from profit. Its from adding new money through dollar cost averaging + inflation. The same stock is takes more dollars to buy because the dollar is going to 💩. 😂😂😂 Plus when a new bull market starts, most investors recovering losses. Spending 2-4 years breaking even before the next correction happen.
