Leachies were my bucket-list animal, and I was able to pick one up about four years ago. In my limited experience, they are simply beyond awesome, but they take a lot of effort. It took a long time to really gain her trust, and a leachie's bite is no joke. I got nailed once, and she refused to let go for about half an hour. Nothing I could do but just sit back and watch the blood flow. But it's only been three or four times amid thousands of interactions. If you put in the time, they are very rewarding pets. I'll put in a quick shout-out to Leapin' Leachies powder. Lots of protein, which is great because my leachie won't touch feeder insects.

Hey guys, I got a problem with my crested gecko. He is almost 3 years old now and I got him when he was about 6 months. Till the age of 2 and a half he was always very handleable and really liked my presence. But the last few months he suddenly became very skittish and is scared of me even while only opening the door to his bioactive enclosure. It is at the point now, that he sometimes takes of running and even jumps out of his enclosure. The humidity and heat in his terrarium seem fine and he is still maintaining a good weight and eats normal. Do you have any ideas what could cause this behaviour? I would love some suggestions on what to do to lower his stress level.
