Forget Golgfag's skyhigh rewards. The fact that he also starts with leadbelchers and a scraplauncher is also massivly huge. What hightier unit does Skrag start with? Some gorgers. As of now, you just get whichever name you acquired last. - Have bounties spawn based off of lord locations. amount of money and meat is usually fine - Lower the meat cost to establish a new camp to 200 Meat - Introduce a skill, ancillerary, technology, something that reduces the amount of time an ogre camp has to wait before being redeployed. - Fix auto raid on camps

I know it seems small but having stuff like that can really confuse players new to the game or the faction. Some other stuff I noticed. The contract tooltip above the army is a bunch of code sometimes. When you fight an army with reinforcements, and you win and hit end battle before reinforcements arrive, sometimes the reinforcements will just die. I killed Festus's 20 stack of chaos warriors this way. Despite saying otherwise, pathing through settlements as Ogres is still terribad. @jimbothefuzzyАй бұрын
The math on the Winds of Magic added to the reserves is that you're effectively adding 3 Winds to your reserves every 20 seconds (assuming you're at the maximum rate). You also get double the rate of conversion from reserves to your pool, so that goes from 1 per 9 seconds to 1 per 4.5 seconds. However, that ability is only active on your lord. So I see two primary ways to use this. The first is having a spellcaster lord that goes out ahead of the army and casts spells to kill off advancing enemy units. Then they come back to the lines and you have some extra Winds available for casting after the lines clash. And that will sustain through the rest of the battle. The second way I can see it used is with a lord who isn't a spellcaster, but has some way of getting kills before the armies meet. This gives you more Winds when the armies do meet, though arguably not to the same degree as the former method. Either way, it gives you more spells per battle as long as your lord is alive and killing things. It doesn't make much of a difference in quick skirmishes without any chance to activate it before the fight really starts. But in bigger and longer battles (especially sieges as the attacker), I can see it making a difference. And on the note of the camps, I think a potential option would be to be able to set a "Meat Reserve Threshold." Every turn, half the meat above that threshold is distributed to the armies in range of the camp. It might not be a perfect method, but it would fit the theme of Ogres using their camps to store meat that's spread among their armies. It might not give the level of strategic control a lot of players want. But you can sometimes argue that super-precise control can be sacrificed for flavor. And if you do that, maybe Greasus will take meat from every camp he's in range of, even if it's from another Ogre faction. Because he's Greasus.

Instead of just zipping across the map on a button click now once a contract is done there is some thought too where are my armies? what contracts are nearby? Do i have somewhere I want to angle my travels toward? The teleport is actually the largest problem with Golg's campaign it removes thought and planning, there is a wonderful mod on the workshop called random changeling start position that as it suggests lets changeling have a random starting point at campaign start. I sincerely wish CA would take more time balancing and reigning in the power creep. Power creep is not fun, it leads to short, steamrolly campaigns. The worst part of this power creep is when the shoe is on the other foot: now you are fighting against the power creeped OP faction controlled by the AI and it's just not fun. -The Chaos Dwarfs came out over a year ago and CA has still done nothing about the 17 AoE massive nukes they have in every field battle. It's not fun to fight against this. -The Dwarfs have been insufferably OP in the hands of the AI since Thrones of Decay, and there's no nerf in sight. Fighting Dwarfs in campaign is a miserable experience, you pretty much need to cheese as much as you can to win. You have to trick them into wasting their ammo to even stand a chance, and god help you if they have Thunderbarges and you are playing the Greenskins, Slannesh, Khorne, or similar factions with no good way of taking on those blimps. Why doesn't the Thunderbarge have a cap yet, like the Dread Saurian? -Tamurkhan released with 3 Ikkit Claw nukes on command. While the nukes have been nerfed, his stat line remains ridiculous, and his chieftains are beyond broken OP. It's not enough for factions to be fun to play as. Factions have to be fun to play AGAINST. I feel like Campaign Balance has never been in a worse state.

i tend to agree with your comments about Grimgor. There are a growing number of LL in the game who are so strong that I don't actually want to fight them manually as they are practically unkillable and can destroy your entire army by themselves or with their powerful army abilities. I play with balanced themed armies with small numbers of high tier units and I don't like using cheesy tactics like kiting Grimgor around the map or doomstacking. I think LL should NEVER be unbreakable so at least you can get the Army Losses victory if you are fighting a powerful Lord. I find fighting Chaos Dwarves and Tamurkhan also unpleasant. The CD dreadquake army ability that destroys entire units if you don't notice it is too powerful. Tamurkhan has a similar army nuke ability and a very strong crew of heroes, at least he is a big target for missiles. I needed three stacks of High Elves to defeat 1 of his stacks in Auto Resolve in a recent campaign. I found both factions to have very high auto resolve results . So I dont want more powercreep in DLC, just good stuff. I am currently enjoying the Gorbad campaign as his special tactics sort of tie in to the type of thematic armies I run.

@TheFlibidyАй бұрын
Yeah. Bounties are mostly just a nice bonus reward when they happen to coincide with your campaign plan, but rarely worth declaring war for. In a way it's better with Golg's contract mechanics, because you can pick a contract based on which bounties are available, but Golg needs the bounty rewards even less than other ogre factions.

I haven't played the dlc yet, im going to in a couple hours, crack into a coop. Really hyped. Shouldnt watch this first but what the hell. Might get some useful tips
@grayrook8637Ай бұрын
As a counter point to they just perform em" school of thought: give me more loot such as magic items and ancillary and temporary buffs. Nerf Golg absolutely, but also make the reward feel like a calculated choice than simply going for whatever you fancy.

In a lore video you promised us a Belakor lore video. Just curious if one day we will get it. I avoid all other Belakor lore videos purely on the off chance that you do it 😂 Sorry I know it’s off topic. I may have had one too many to drink. Apologies.

He tends to return for DLCs and then disappear for months on end these days. He spoke out about burnout a couple of times and difficult life circumstances so who knows. Not to spite the guy (I can understand not being as motivated as he once was), but I've mostly moved on to other TWW content creators for my MP Battles and lore.
@beardedfreckleАй бұрын
I don’t want to see him nerfed because I like his concept, but he does feel alittle Changling-ish.
@cygnusx-1256Ай бұрын
The Skragg and Greasy are underwhelming still. Greasus is just a crap bag on the map still. His knock off Karl Franz/Jade Dragon mechanic is interesting. It's quite easy to avoid starving armies but it doesn't make sense that you can't just transfer meat more openly. I can't get behind more nerfs though. Not until the issues are addressed then we can discuss balancing but it doesn't make sense to nerf units and mechanics when we don't even have a good baseline due to so many issues. IMHO
@tybaltmarr2158Ай бұрын
The biggest problem is Greasus' mount is still a wheelbarrow
@aidendilley6428Ай бұрын
I do think the time limits to complete the mercenary contracts are a bit punishing
@isaacgorski6054Ай бұрын
To be honest, the bear cav and other monster cav have bigger issues than just this. Like the attack animations being based on the mounts instead of the rider ever attacking. This crap drives me nuts and it's why I don't use half of the monster cav in the game. Would be nice to see the knights actually use their halberds or lances. And they could probably line up attacks better and more frequently

So ive never had the issue where my army ran out of food, BUT i am so bad for giving food to the wrong camp and giving a maxed out camp like 2000 food that they dont need and cant use

@JuanchodhАй бұрын
I messed up when I made my second camp in my campaign: I was supposed to give meat to the new camp, but instead gave it to the old one. Such a bummer. The other thing is that (It might be a 'me' problem) you can't pick units from a camp-army into a normal army. Why, CA?
@thepiousskullАй бұрын
For me, the worst part about 6.0 was the Khorne rework. The emphasis on stat-stacking to egregious levels that we're getting with each rework and DLC drop is really killing my enjoyment of the game and now they've gutted my favorite faction. The completely removed the purpose of Bloodletting in growing your empire unconventionally through maintaining constant momentum, now it's simply a rater pointless means of stacking buffs even that pale in comparison to the insanity you can get just from the tech tree and lord skills. The roster has been turned from less complex with its melee focus to completely one-dimensional when every unit can stack stats to reach or exceed 100+ level stats in each category. Post 6.0, the race has compeltely lost its unique playstyle of having to maintain constant aggression to stack Bloodletting's global bonuses to growth and acquire income from battles and sacking. Now, your armies can be made considerably cheaper, you have an economy that can mostly keep up with recruitment without the need to constantly sack or fight to stay out of the red, and Blood Hosts are now completely redundant since they don't provide anything globally to the faction with their Bloodletting, they receive no benefits themselves from Bloodletting, and your armies are so cracked by turn 25-30 that you can solo multiple stacks with them with extreme ease. So tired of this focus on powercreep that is erasing the best part of the Warhammer series: the diversity of its different races and factions and their rosters. When every unique campaign playstyle gets homogenized for the sake of being simpler and easier for low-skill players and stat-stacking erodes distinctions between units in the same roster and distinctions between rosters themselves, eventually, the game will cease to be a strategy game and it will cease to feel like Warhammer.
@Wizard_of_LightАй бұрын
This is a problem in nearly all of grand startegy games. Remove playstyles to change them for spreadsheets and buff/malus. It is absolutely annoying.
@CJ-wh7ikАй бұрын
I'd rather play this than some annoying and weak ahh campaign for the sake of mechanical diversity. No one LIKED previous khorne. Now it's much better
@thepiousskullАй бұрын
@@CJ-wh7ik You're talking out of your ass. No one had a problem with pre-6.0 Khorne outside a handful of players that can't be bothered to learn how to play any other way than turtling and getting angry that the hyper-aggression race doesn't reward them for doing so.

I'm at the point now that expansion release dates aren''t worth it. Wether it's over or under tuned units, game breaking bugs or iimpossible to lose on legendary campaigns. This doesnt feel like a 22 dollar dlc and 8 months since the last. Seriously unimpressive.
@liamcullen3035Ай бұрын
Yeah, “bone to pot” seems really weak. +2 WOM per turn is pathetic, it doesn’t even offset a weak local wind, which applies -5 per turn. Other factions pay like 10 points of movement out of a base 100 to get +20 or so winds per turn in channelling stance. Ogres don’t have to pay movement, which seems great, but 20 meat per turn is still a critical resource. I suppose part of that meat cost is also going into the battle buff that comes with the magic generation. “Bone to pot” should *at least* generate the same WOM per turn as channeling stance, so +20 or so. Maybe more, depending on what we think the equivalence between meat and movement points should be.

I know this is a small thing, but I don’t know why the leadbelchers shoot proper cannon balls instead of the explosions of junk the lore talks about. Blunderbuss units are a lot of fun. It should be the maneaters who could own and maintain proper cannons.
@milkandcookiesTWАй бұрын
they do shoot explosions of junk. pause the game and look at the projectiles they fire when you get the chance, its not round cannonballs. its like, forks and shrapnel and assorted random things
@jiado6893Ай бұрын
@milkandcookiesTW You are correct, I've examined their models. What I mean is having a really wide spread of projectiles, like Cathay and the Chorfs can recruit.
