Supposedly, Bengal is so big it has its own transportation system. Otherwise, it would take too long in combat to get to where you needed to be (like the massive hanger that runs the ship's length).

yeah exactly, like daniel said, those NPCs have a pretty low quality (better then most AAA game lmao) MoCap compared to major NPCs of suadron 42 demo we've seen 3-4 years ago(that was so impresive that only texture was giving the fact that was a game), I can't wait to see what they will achieve with the final product !

31:35 those actually are not cannons, those are torpedo tubes (it’s supposedly capable of launching size 12 anti-capital torpedoes) something that you missed in the briefing room info is that the Javelin has a hangar bay (supposedly) designed to fit a Redeemer. This hangar bay is located on the top of the ship on the opposite side to the bridge

@@benbowman6995 Yeah, it's the redeemer. Reason is the Redeemer was originally going to be a dropship and was supposed to be the main UEE dropship when the Jav was built out. Hence the hangar was designed around being able to fit it.

The Redeemer used to be smaller, it can't fit it anymore. That's why the Vanguard Hoplight was created, its the only dropship that will fit in the Javelin bay.

I love that it is the UEES War Hammer that we fought to protect, worked to resupply and fought alongside with during the XenoThreat event. They even call back to it in the briefing room and at the turret commander. I'm guessing the tarped off area is the part that was damaged during XT

Based on the writing at 28:33 it says Cells and it might be a cell block for prisoners and the part where it has scanning/processing it must be for processing captured prisoners.

The cannons on the belly are 130mm cannon. It's hypothesized as Size 12(which is bigger then the Idris M's front Railgun and that is Size 10) that cannon is designed to kill other capitals

Oh by the way, while the ship may have a safehaven (hard room or escape-type room), I think the guy below is right. These large ships with crews in the double digits. Mind boggling. But I know they're just not for me and I will never grind to buy one because unless you have a large org, it's useless. And that's the beauty of Star citizen! There's something for everybody and there will be aspects of the game not everyone will experience and that is just fine imo.

The best capital ship for me is still the Idris (and I can't wait to experience it in SQ42 fully crewed which realistic NPCs, especially with the level of Voice-Acting we are expecting from CIG at this point). I would love for you to watch the 2017 Vertical Slice of SQ42 actually because while it is pretty old already and that shows in many ways (and since this demo the game has basically been restarted from scratch) I think it still shows the potential SQ42 has very well. Simply the immersion of what was shown there for me is on the level of Half-Life (all the games of that series, except maybe Alyx which you simply can't beat in immersion with a traditional game) and nothing has come close to this type of immersion for me.

28:10 That scanner looks less like a safe room, more like its for prisoners (it said "processing" on the floor) - you stand on the plate with a hand on each screen and get scanned before they put you in a cell. The cells were behind you - cells 1-14.

As a former norwegian navy sailor I can really relate to a lot of the things that the sailors onboard the Javelin says! Especially the guy in the barracks who talks about hot bunking lol. I served on a Nansen class frigate so luckily every one of us had our own bunks, but i've heard stories from sailors onboard submarines who had to swap bunks every night. Doesn't sound very pleasant haha!

I noticed they keep calling the Javelin a Destroyer. So that mean this thing is on the SMALL side of what a capital ship is. Imagine how fucking massive a BATTLESHIP or CARRIER would be. EDIT: It would also look better if they showed the Javelin actually doing a Quantum Jump vice just despawning.

One of the cool things is that, due to the constant development, things like the ship just disappearing after it undocks to go other places, can evolve into the ship making the full tour in quantum travel to each station, maybe even being possible to follow the ship around as it travels. Was waiting to see your reaction to seeing this monster in person man.

They disappear to evade some bugs or players interactions that can ruin an event. We just tried to steal one of the npc fighters by putting it into cap ship's hangar and even managed to kill a pilot, but it just disappeared with the fleet and appeared at the next stop. Last year the whole server shot down idrises a few times. I think devs need to figure out how to prevent such actions in order to create seamless experience.

@@spaceman112211 Ohh i see that, but i wouldn't be surprised if they find ways to avoid that, and i didn't say that in my comment, but i was thinking longer term development, so something for a year or two from now, specially considering how they could have even the security forces be a lot more effective, and dynamically respond to player interactions, plus Ai and ships being more effective against groups of players, not possible right now but would expect them to solve this to at least a satisfying degree.

Someone on our servers organized an event, they stole two Idris frigates from the Arlington missions, and then attacked the Bengal Carrier as it orbited Port Olisar. I hope video appears soon, the battle was absolutely majestic, ending with the Idris frigates ramming the Bengal out of desperation. We don't know if the Bengal was invincible for the event, but it looked battle-worn afterwards. Truly amazing possibilities with this game.

I liked the javelin tour but it could really use the IKEA arrows as a guide. The signs kinda help but you run into the problem with too many of the areas closed off.

Fun fact: The Bengal is so big [1km long] that in fact they built in a monorail inside it so you could move around the ship. Also, the biggest ship in the game [not added yet] will be 3km long. So basically 3x longer than the Bengal.

Also the Idris, which is currently the biggest ship we have in the game that is just there [doesn’t only show up for events] is the Idris M. And the Idris M can fit inside the hangar bay of the Bengal!

btw: Without additional oxygen provided by Earth's atmosphere, fireworks wouldn't behave the same way as they do on Earth. In the vacuum of space, there's no oxygen with which things can burn.

the front railgun on an Idris is a S10 gun. The Yeetus Deletus turret on the Bengal has 4XS12 cannons. The biggest UEE ship in the universe is the Retribution (will probably see in SQ42) has 6 of those turrets plus something like an S20 spinal mount railgun meant for killing Vandul King Ships

Keep an eye out for free events, they pop up every so often. Base game is $45, you don't need to buy ships to play. System requirements can be a bit demanding though. I played a free event earlier this year (might have been this one) with a 1080ti, 32gb, AMD Ryzen 7 and game loaded on an SSD and it played ok at tweaked medium settings. Still looked great. Considering getting it (again) after the next big patch

when you think about it you can prob officially for 3 to 4 gladius in a idris.. double that if you squeeze. now imaging how much you can fit in a javelin.. or a Bengal.. it's going to be nuts.. and what's even more nuts is double or maybe triple that first number if your using p52 or 72 snub fighters

the javlin is just a destroyer, im assuming the larger one then was a cruiser. which still leaves a heavy cruiser battleship and possibly a carrier beyond that. so that destroyer will more than likely going to only be 1/2 to 1/4 the size of a cruiser. just wondering if at any point they will make any super capitals like dreadnoughts., i would love to see one day about 20 of theses a couple cruisers and a battle ship or two duke it out. that would be one expense battle!!

Too bad that you can only check out the mess hall and the barracks inside the Javelin. Would have been awesome if we could actually explore the entire ship, but that thing is massive so it would likely take a while to check it all out

My question is can u land the Javellin on the surface of a world? Also maybe sooner after the thw Javellin would get released to the public soon thwy would also work into the Retribution Super Dreadnought in game officially also.

That NPC at 17:14 had phenomenal MOCAP and lip sync. I think that was the first time I have been impressed by the quality of the current state of an NPC in Star Citizen

I had some problems getting the game installed, had to leave it all night to download the game files I didn't expect it to be about 65GB. I couldn't get it installed on my SSD so I had to put it on my conventional hard disk, it is a 10,000 RPM disk but I know it's not optimal I only want to try the game to see if it work on my computer and if it is at all playable since I don't have the required hardware, I'm still going to try it anyway so wish me luck.
