I saw a feller at Heath lake on May 1st… Me and my brother in law went after Bluegill and shell cracker. But man I wanted to bass fish so bad…😂 They were eating anything and everything in sight. I had a hand sized bluegill on and about a 7 pounder came up and stole my fish…😂 I opened the bale and let her run with it for a second. I figured I had a slight shot of getting a hook in her and landing her in open water. But when I closed the bale and started slowly reeling in the slack all I had was my jig head…😂 I landed a 6 pounder on 4lb test about a week before that while crappie fishing. She hit the smallest minnow we had in the bucket…😂 That was just pure luck though, she ran up in some vines hanging off the edge of the bank and then I got her out and she ran down in a tree top and I got her out of there…😂 I couldn’t believe it honestly, I was telling my brother in law to get us away from the bank so I had better chance to get her in…😅 That’s a nice kayak you’ve got though, we were admiring it and didn’t know it was you until we left and saw your truck…😄 Have you released that video yet?

I’ve got my own kayak now, I just bought it about a week ago… I’ve gotta get a paddle for it first. My wife is a bartender and it belonged to one of her bar regulars. She got diagnosed with blood cancer and had an accident also that left her with a brain injury… It’s not an expensive kayak, it’s the pelican blitz 100X… It’s like a 400 dollar kayak. I got it for 100 dollars.. It’ll do the trick for me, I like it because I can throw it in the bed of my truck and take off. It only weighs 44lbs so I can literally walk it down to the water. I can’t wait to go try it out, I think I’ve only been on a kayak once in my life. Kayak fishing looks so peaceful, it’s like your a piss ant floating on a leaf… Lmao

Also was gonna say the boat traffic (at least mid lake) is horrible this yr and I know only gonna get worse. I fish out of a Riverhawk, and those wake boat suck!!!
