I love your point at the end. I'm a beginner, but something that I saw in a some YT vid early was, "Check your ego at the door, nail down a good technique, and earn the weight... The weight will come with time."

Mike is doing us a great service with these repetitive topics. Reps are key. Sounds stupid to say but it helps to double down on these golden training tips. I'm more confident in my lifts now, there's no guess work.

Great points about how someone lifts 20 lbs compared to 90lbs, it is different. It becomes moving weight from point A to Point B. I have done it and it is way less effective unless you just want to get stronger in moving things.

I try to explain this to my brother in law about pull downs. You should be able to manipulate feel a lighter weight to see how a heavy weight should feel.

Im either doing this correctly already... or iam TOTALLY doing this... and for whatever reason, I am having a hard time understanding how to "do" this. Mike is explaining it like a kindergartner could understand, but... I have a feeling if Mike was training me he'd be like.. "Zombie hands!"

Yeah right. The people in the thriller music video have way better movement and are way less rigid than most losers or “weight lifters” out there. Still see literal cardboard box rigidness EVERYDAY. Physique never changes….Or you could just lower the f***in weight
