The main problem with sensible transfers was that the same players were repeated too often. Like there are only 50 players available in the market with good metrics so you are kind of stuck telling every club that they should buy the same players.

The way so many people talk about De Ligt is like he is failed player and his career is over. He is only 24 and really hasn't had a stable environment and strong support to succeed. Lets see how he kicks on at United. I see him becoming a key player.

Chelsea are expecting to play upwards of 70 matches this season, and contrary to belief, the squad isn't even the biggest in the premier league (United had the biggest last season and Chelsea were joint with Forrest and Arsenal) so he'll get plenty of game time

Dewsbury Hall transfer is insanity given the other players Chelsea have spent huge money on to play in the same position

Chelsea expect to play over 70 matches this season with a 3-man midfield and you need 2 players for each position. Currently, they are: Caicedo, Enzo, Lavia, Dewsbury-Hall, Gallagher and Chukwumeka (plus Chukwumeka might go out on loan and Gallagher might be sold)

@@BSMAG87 don't forget Santos, Ugochukwu, Casadei, all of whom were bought for big money, in addition to the fact that the attacking 8 role could also be played by Nkunku or Palmer. Add to the fact that KDH isn't young and hasn't performed in the PL in the past and it's clearly a bad transfer

@@hb3393 Gallagher is likely to be sold now that KDH is in, on reflection Carney probably needs a loan to get back on track and Uguochukwu's definitely going out on loan (he was supposed to last season but we kept him due to injuries), so if Conor leaves and Carney goes on loan, that makes room for Santos and Palmer to play in midfield. Not sure what he'll do with Nkunku, so that will be interesting, but I think KDH is a good addition to the squad for £30m (plus he brings some of that maturity that we've been crying for)

I think De Ligt wants united because he knows Ten Hag is a great manager for him, his confidence will rise again and if he's to become truly world class it will be under Ten Hag after the tumultuous time he's had with the managerial merry-go-round. He'd also be playing next to Martinez who is another Ten Hag disciple. Pep is leaving City after this season, Ancelotti is leaving possibly leaving Real so it is a case of the other options aren't stable when he needs stability.

KDH should be judged more on what he did for leicester snr team in the last two seasons. He's been really solid from what I've seen. Stood out like the proverbial dogs bollocks in the Championship. Merely a victim of a bloated Leicester squad. Particularly in his position.
