I love the level 1 spirit box as its what actual irl ghost hunters use Spirit bxoes are jut mini radios that quickly go through radio stations, theyre quite loud and sound janky, and when a ghost speaks through them, the use the random radio station voices to speak, so they come out a lil jank always, some times with added words than what theyre full sentence is

The low cut applied to the para mic give the impression of a quieter volume but its really not quiet at all :D

You have obviously not been listening to what he was saying. The problem he has with it, is that close to the light source the sound from it was louder with the para mic off that with it on - the mic literally made the sound lower, rather than amplify it. Which is not how the para mic works in reality.

I've tested the para mic. It works as it should. It might have been a bug at this time, but when I tried it. It was working. It makes sound from farther literally the volume of when your up close.@@rissaarei5336

As a veteran of Phasmophobia i already see how hard is to find the correct ghost with tier 1 equipments,i redid the challenge mode which 2 days ago i completed it in 30 minutes all 3 and now i completed it in one hour which is double. It's nice that CJ took the matter in hand and now mare can turn off keyboard or TV's as they are no longer light sources. As for the levelling...Hell,first time i thought "Hey it's gonna be an easy level now,after this is done i'll be 55 in no time" What a surprise i had when i saw that i leveled only 9 levels as your requirement increases as you level up (as normally would be) and now the grinding all the way to the best tier is gonna be a hell of a race. This update in my opinion is big for the community and I personally thank CJ for that.

I honestly adore the update and especially the new tier1 spirit box! When a ghostie answered the first time i was sooo thrown back to all the spooky movies and series i love watching! Para mic is wayyyy scarier to use now but dang the dots pen is a bit of a pain in the butt hahahah What shocked me was how much darker the game is now. Even on full brightness everything is pitch black around you without lamps. Makes it a bit hard playing during daytime even with curtains but it‘s supposed to be dark and scary so i get why that was changed.

I love the new update so far I played 4 games, 1 solo and 3 with a friend. I got a ton of bugs that I hope get fixed really soon though. 1- Spirit box ghost response are the original voice actor and not scary at all. (pretty funny though) 2- Global chat was not working half the time. Proxy chat was fine. 3- Sometimes I would turn on lights and it wouldn't do anything. Was fine for my friend. 4- Cursed possession did not show up for me at least once that I know of. (summoning circle was there for my friend but I couldn't see it) 5- At one point I couldn't use the computer in the van but it was fine for my friend. 6- I smudged the ghost but got killed anyway. Maybe that was me but I usually know how to use the smudge sticks...I was level 1900 Those are the bugs I remember nothing game breaking but very annoying.

@@xiidraco I don't see how you can't hear it, if you're expecting the parabolic mic to be screaming at you when looking at an object sure I can understand, but the noise is present, if you can't hear it maybe you're using cheap headphones or something. But the sound is there, end of statement, it's just quiet and has a high pass filter applied to it...

im glad about the ultraviolet evidence as sometimes ghost dont interact with doors, or there is no door on their locations, so the salt becomes very helpful with that. what an amazing update..... it feels like a new game. im so enjoying it. even the ghosts sounds changed. so creepy now. haha

Tier 1 spirit box will work like if its gonna light up red it means the game kinda picked up your phrase and if the ghost is near while the thing goes red its mostly gonna speak otherwise it will throw random stuff around. This can still be a little hard because sometimes it still wont speak

Dude, your knowledge of all the ghosts is insane. How the heck were you so quickly ruling out various ghost types immediately?

There are certain things that only a particular ghost type can do, and there are also certain things that a particular ghost type cannot do. Mares are unable to flick on a light. Phantoms cannot be seen in photos. Goryos cannot roam. Jinns can't turn off the breaker (but the breaker can still be overloaded). There are also other subtle things, like Mares having a small chance to flick off a light that you just turned on immediately after you do it. Phantoms having a different rate that they can be visible during a hunt. Obakes having a guaranteed once per hunt "shapeshift" where they become a different ghost model, and their small chance of leaving behind a fingerprint with an extra 6th finger. Obakes also are coded so that you are guaranteed to get fingerprints as one of the evidence. Insym used to play practically every day for a long time, so while his knowledge seems crazy, it'd be even crazier if he wasn't this good by now

Loving this update in just about every way... EXCEPT the smudge sticks. They are currently super broken. Able to be killed during a ghost, ghost appears to still follow you very often (not sure if this is real or just terribly TERRIBLY bad luck but it is happening a LOT), the duration even when it does work doesn't at all feel like the advertised durations (I'm now at Tier 2 and I still not having great luck with it). When it works it works, but I will tell you it definitely used to work a lot more, which is ironic because in the patch notes smudge stick was supposedly supposed to be "more consistent" now... but in fact the opposite lol

It would be cool to have a cross/crucifix necklace item that could prevent a ghost from hunting on top of you a limited number of times, like 1/2/3 times per tier and it could make you lose 10%/5%/0% sanity when the ghost gets stopped by it so it has a downside.

First round of the update I got goryo. It was professional, but that only narrowed it down to 4 options. they messed up the photo priority system, first we tried to get a photo of the ghost, they took it but it counted as "burned crucifix" and she died, then another, it counted as "Stepped salt" or something like that, and they also died, and then i took it in a location that had no other things and it counted as nothing. Then also in the challenge i kept trying to get the ghost photo in a hunt but every photo even though the ghost WAS RIGHT THERE it didnt count it

I did the weekly today after the update so I got 5000 XP. One of the runs, I cornered myself in the Bleasdale upstairs bathroom when an unexpected hunt happened. I just hoped the ghost wouldn't find me. It, however, came to the bathroom after only like 10 seconds of the hunt and found me. Since the ghost was slow though, I managed to loop around it dodging it by mere centimeters as I ran out the door and down the stairs. Still can't believe I lived that.
