It's sort of crazy how much Dan can sing any genre and imitate any voice. He can sound so different in his voice depending on what he's singing. Hopefully you will do more Dan at some point!

Incredible vocal performance by Dan Vasc. The emotion he delivers with every song he sings is breathtaking also. My suggestions are as follows: for great '80's covers - he sings Journey like no other-Faithfully, Open Arms, Don't Stop Believing and his Motley Crue songs - Kickstart My Heart and Dr. Feelgood are even better than the originals. His metal cover of My Heart Will Go On is so powerful, and his truly original cover of Lady Gaga's Poker Face will blow you away. There are so many more, but I will save them for another time. Musical Theater developed the way it did (as you said over singing or over performing) Because back in the day there were NO microphones and actors HAD to project (over sing) to get the crowd in the back to see and HEAR the singing and acting. Singing was exaggerated and movements were as well to better project the emotion to those in the back of the house. So yes Theater has its own style of music precisely for this reason. Nowadays they all usually have some sort of hidden microphone. But the singing style and acting style remains.

Oh and by the way, IMHO after watching every Gethsemane cover on KZbin, including the originals, Dan's version is at the top of my list as the best of all time. IMHO.

If there is one I would be interested to see it out of curiousity because I have not heard him rap otherwise. I def know he does the metal growling. Ive seen all his songs except about 4 or them. Well, Before starting the channel I was a Purist Metalhead.. but that has certainly changed..LOL!! I really don't have a Fave Genre anymore, but I am not a huge fan of Musicals, Musical Theatre or American Pop Music

@@juliaburnette1455 Sorry I was having a senior moment. It was Evansence Bring Me To Life. There is a rap part in it. I also just discovered he has sung true a cappella on one song on iTunes called “Take you Back” from the movie Rocky. Sounds kinda bluesy as well. There is no video for that one i could find. There are quite a few songs in his iTunes library that he never put out videos for. I am happily checking those out.

The thing is, I don't care for the way the people writing the play decided Jesus would have acted, or what He would have said at that crucial time. My main point, is that He IS The Word. Also, He IS one of the non-separable parts of the full Trinity. He DID make the decision and the choice to do what had to be done. 😀

I don’t like musicals at all, not my cup of tea, but I can recognize Dan’s fantastic job in this piece, the performance is part of the music, impossible to separate them, since IT IS a musical. …btw, editing just to say I like your reactions to Dan😉
