Easily the best exit episode of any character so far!

I love this episode, so many laughs, most of all Frank casually elbowing that guy in the back.

If the two met, Gene Hunt and Frank Burnside would be drinking buddies

Hahahahahahahahaha that last scene. Paid 30 worth 300 and then Conway makes it rubble. Oh sorry Mike.

Beginning of the end for the old guard of CID. Yes, Galloway had already long gone, but with Dashwood, Roach and Burnside all departing across 92/93, it was really the end of an era.
@glenncooney3959 Жыл бұрын
The beginning of the end of the best CID era: Dashwood leaving, Martella’s departure, followed by Roach & Burnside. I did like Alan Woods though (I’m biased as Tom Cotcher’s an old family friend)
@MrAljosavКүн бұрын
@@glenncooney3959 Alan Woods was fantastic he worked well with Jim as his partner just like how Jim and Tosh worked well as partners too and just like Tony Stamp and Reg Hollis. Just wish Alan Woods didn’t transfer but I think it would have gotten too messy as Don Beech’s corruption came to light.

having to suffer the character's pomposity for 10 years, you would hardly blame him.

last man standing was reg hollis. who'd have thought it way back in 1983? it's rather poignant to see these original characters, from the first 3 series, leaving the show. even though dashwood's acting was terribly wooden, he still made the bill what it was for me.

Spot on Qasim!
@davidkerr66 Жыл бұрын
@Qasim Hussain sorry for the delay Qasim. In no particular order - Burnside, Roach, Dashers, Galloway. I enjoyed watching Haynes, Monroe, Cryer (in small doses), Loxton also. I did like the banter between Brownlow and Conway. I did find pretty much all of the characters palatable up to series 11. I liked the part Cato played. Through various episodes you could see that he had many different layers to his personality; tough bordering on brut-ish, not a people person, then occasions he was a people person, sadly what also appeared to be a far right element in his thinking on occasions. Sad that we didn't have more time seeing his character.
@davidkerr66 Жыл бұрын
@Qasim Hussain didn't really like the above CID names you've provided. I didn't mind Meadows in doses. I preferred Inspector Kite to Strictch, I thought the comedy element of his character was very amusing. As for Stamp et al. They were all memorable characters who I did enjoy watching. I also used to like watching DS Danny Pearce too
