I really feel the need to just bask in how INSANE everything that happened from 16:30 onwards is. Gray spends 14 out of his 15 keys on a key beggar to get an item (which, as pointed out, is an absurd amount of items to give a beggar). Then the beggar finally, nonchalantly spits out an ETERNAL CHEST, which will keep paying out with pickups each time it is opened until it pays out with an item. Essentially, the key beggar took 93% of Gray's keys to create a copy of itself. Then Gray touches the Eternal Chest once and it INSTANTLY pays out with an item; not just that, but an item that SPECIFICALLY GIVES MORE KEYS. thank you breadmund very cool

I remember watching some classic flash isaac races with cobaltstreak and richardhammer and it was kinda crazy seeing plays like "oh he can go for a map from the beggar and that would help him catch up a lot" and then the guy spends nearly a full minute feeding the guy basically all his money for like a bomb and a key. And was funny to see how in most of the races, because of the small item range, you basically always got either mom's knife or brim as the carry item. (And hilariously bad angel deals, no wonder everyone went devil back in the day)

At 9:10, I think this was caused by External Item Descriptions. It uses a fake 'entity' to work, and this entity can sometimes pick up tags of real entities. I know it used to do something similar where rocks would break seemingly randomly, but it's because the EID entity was picking up the "breaks rocks" tag that the ball and chain or similar items has, so it broke rocks it collided with.
