This is an extraordinary film that explains in clear language why the forests are so important.

Nice documentary. A bit deeper understanding of the rain cycle we were taught in school. Humans have built many many deserts across the globe. We call them cities. The pressure is on the Brazilian rain Forrest largely due to Europe, UK, Australia all developed countries. Africa has too in a different way..herding animals ect. It all points to population. The irony being we all love the countryside. We all love it so much we're killing it off. For a happy sustainable planet cut down in the amount of children we have. For happy bankers and elites have ten.

Every rainforest conservationist should watch this video. Or really anyone who wants to understand a key component of climate on Earth.

Disturbing soil for agriculture is how modern deserts form. We need to switch to methods that hold soil in place with constant living cover. Much of the CO² "carbon pollution" is due to bare earth/fallow agricultural practices rather than just vehicle emissions... Adding mangroves where feasible may aid regreening current desertified regions near tropical and subtropical coastlines.

Extraordinary film that teaches the importance of protection for our natural world. Atmospheric Rivers from warming and Erosion from deforestation will plague humans until we realize everything is connected. Knowledge is power and the opportunity to do better for future generations.

I hope that as some cities in North America decline that the Rewilding of those Skeleton Cities would be accomplished by adding a mixture of deciduous and evergreen trees. I was in Cleveland, OH and there's a golf course that was NO longer in use, was returned to a park with a water course and a mixture of shrubs and trees. That's all. We take the excess developed lands and rewild them. You can walk through some areas of Beachwood for instance you will find Deer in the Suburban housing structure. That's it. Just making room for less humans and their stuff as we grow old and die and the resulting family sizes declines. Less people, more forests please. Rewilding in England is happening. Places that were grazing or hunting areas have been sold back to the regional governments often with donations from activists. These places are being brought back into native species. it takes time. We have time. Forests. But we can start with smaller species in a progression called Serial Succession. It's hard to make a forest in ten years. So plant a mixture of plants with the shrubs growing fast first, but eventually the larger trees will take over and sustain the ecosystem. We have time. Just don't drive your car today. Walk or ride a bike to your destination. Don't eat meat. Meat culture requires a lot of grain foods and that requires a lot of monoculture agriculture on an industrial scale. Just those two area individuals can change in their own behavior. You own modes of transportation and your diet.
