I was always really excited to be a mom, and I really wanted my first pregnancy, but like you, I was terrified of labor and delivery. And yeah, sometimes it can be scary and sometimes there is a risk of complications. But, in my opinion, it's so worth it. My labor wasn't perfect. I ended up needing pitocin in order to dilate sfter my water had broken. And it was really difficult. But it was only really difficult for a few hours. And then it was over, and I had this beautiful little baby laying on my chest, and all was well. Now, I'm in my second pregnancy and I've been able to just enjoy being pregnant because I'm not going into labor and delivery with a bunch of unknowns. I'm not as worried as I was my first pregnancy. I would say though, if you're stressed about complications and such, deliver at a hospital. Don't choose a home birth. Hospitals may be a little more restricting in terms of what you can and cannot do during labor (eat, walk around, bounce on an exercise ball, etc) but they're much better equipped to deal with emergencies and complications. Being in a hospital gave me some real peace of mind because I knew that if anything went wrong, we had the greatest chance of a good outcome being in a place that was already equipped for complications. Instead of waiting for an ambulance and taking an ambulance ride for 20 minutes if something went wrong, I knew they'd just wheel me down the hall and take me wherever I would need to go quickly. Time is often of the essence in an emergency. So if your main concern and anxiety about pregnancy and birth is labor and delivery, go to a hospital to deliver and put your mind at ease.

Thank you for sharing your birth story, you were really brave going through all of it without the epidural… I can’t believe they didn’t offer you something to manage the pain for the swipe…but you did it!!! I had the epidural and it was hard enough with it, especially since it started wearing off right when baby was finally getting out…I can’t imagine without the epidural. 👓

Omg I feel you Chanan when I gave birth to my son I bleed for awhile too had to have two blood transfusions but with me my labor was induced because of high blood pressure and my ob who delivered my son did the sweep on me too but crazy thing I didn't feel anything and I did my labor all natural. But pretty much same birth story

Yeah, pitocin is a trip. My water broke on its own, but I stopped dilating at 5.5cm, and that was 12hrs after my water broke. I had been having manageable contractions until the pitocin. Once I got the pitocin, I was having a really hard time managing the pain. I watched so many videos and learned a whole lot about breathing techniques and I forgot it all. I could not handle the pain. But it was only a few hrs, and then I got an epidural. The first epidural didn't work, but the second one was perfect. It was like a couple hours of hell, and then I got a baby. And I told my fiancée in the middle of pushing that I could 100% do it again. Like in between a contraction I looked over at him and was like "yeah. I could do this again. Are you kidding? Just a couple hours of pain and then I get the most beautiful, most precious gift ever?! It's not even a question. 100% worth it." 👓

🤓 the problem with ur bangs is that u cut tu much ok it an to far next time do just a les than half inch. And wow it’s hard to hear the last part of it, sorry that u when tru all that.
