I am studying at the Norwegian School of Leadership and Theology, which is a Pentecostal-Baptist college. This video was linked to us, the students, to get a better understanding on how the charismatic movement basically exploded in the 60's and 70's. May I say wow, how great this is to watch. God is great!

I wished that the leaders of the Charismatic Pentecostal movement in the RCC would have stressed BIBLE REFORMATION years ago. Now in 2023, so much confusion in the RCC....even the Vatican released two documents that contradict traditional Catholic teachings:. Amoris Latetia edict and the Abu Dhabi agreement.

Please make this the Catholic Church's default way of doing things, please! Its for the Church's own good! I would love to see the Vatican making this mandatory for all Catholics!😊

"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me." Folks rarely talk about what he said next in Luke 4:23-27. He basically said that their overly liturgical religion...though authorized by God...wasn't doing them any good and that the narrow way is a lot more narrow than people think it is.

Daniel 5:25-26-27-28 And this is the writing that was written, MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN. This is the interpretation of the thing: MENE; God hath numbered thy kingdom, and finished it. TEKEL; Thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting. PERES/UPHARSIN; Thy kingdom is divided, and given to The Middle land pure and splendid!! Turn not to the left nor the right!! The Way is straight and narrow. And few that find it! The blood is off my hands.

"There is but one faith, one Baptism." When we are baptized, we are baptized with both water and the Holy Ghost simultaneously. The Church has always held that one can only be baptized once, and that those who attempt rebaptism are to be punished. See Saint Thomas' Summa Theoligiae. To say I received a baptism of the Holy Ghost apart from the baptism we received with water upon entrance into the Church is heresy. Please put an end to this. It comes from the Pentecostals, and is neither true nor Catholic.

Book of Acts in the Bible please read it. It is not Catholic or Pentacostal. It is the Word of God.

@@JM-yf5rt I have read it, and I have also read the commentaries of saints on it. Nothing the pentecostal/charismatic movement claims about the book of acts is representative of true teaching.

@@elcidcampeador9629 i think your getting stuck on terminology, baptism in the holy spirit is not baptism in any way, all that is happening is people are getting a fresh filling of God's spirit. It's nothing more than God is touching those who call upon his name. Christians of every generations have experienced this in the catholic church, it doesn't come from protestants, some protestants have just made it their main focus. Protestants who do so disagree on its specific doctrine. Charismatic Catholics hold to the doctrine of the catholic church but seek to experience God's presence. The argument your making is one of semantics not of doctrine.

@@stevenmcdowell3426 Understanding that the charismatic movement is born of Pentecostalism makes it clear that when they say "baptism" they mean "accepting Jesus as your personal lord and savor" and doing an altar call. Frequently, this altar call is met by an "infusion" of the Holy Spirit AKA a random display of emotional outburst, exactly the same phenomenon that occurs during charismatic revivals. This is clearly a false understanding of baptism, and if it is not baptism, do not call it that. Theology is a science and needs precise language to avoid error. Charismaticism absolutely came from protestants. It originated on the campus of Notre Dame when a group of Catholics sought the advice of a pentecostal preacher on how to experience the Holy Ghost more fully, and he basically taught them exactly how the Pentecostals seek to do that. It has ZERO legitimacy and should be abandoned immediately. If one seeks to properly navigate the interior life and the movement of God within it, one should go to the masters like Saint John of the Cross and Saint Theresa of Avila. Saint John specifically warns that we should be wary of consolations, and be completely detached from them, using them when God grants them but not seeking them out. Unfortunately, many charismatics desire to "feel" the Holy Spirit; in other words, they seek out consolations.
