I've always respected Bishop Blake. This documentary was excellent. May God forever cover and bless Bishop Blake, Lady Mae their family and West Angeles! What a gift!

The first time I saw Bishop Blake was at my uncle’s funeral in 1983. My uncle was Superintendent J. B. Eliga. And he was a friend to Bishop Blake. I was only 15 years old then and I was so impressed by him. He was still Elder Blake then and I remember in his remarks he apologized for being late to the funeral service. He was at an appointment that he couldn’t miss. But my uncle’s service was just as important to him. And he said he was not going to miss it. In the early days of his ministry at West Angeles, my uncle and Aunt were members there until my uncle was appointed to and installed at his own church. I never forgot the kind words he spoke about my uncle and aunt. After the funeral, he introduced himself to our family and spent as much time as he could with us. I will never forget how gracious and encouraging he was. The next time I saw him was in the 90’s at the annual Mclaney music festival in Southern California. Now, he was Bishop Blake. Although, he was internationally known by this time, he was still the same gracious and humble man that I met at my uncle’s funeral in 1983. Absolutely remarkable!

I was raised COGIC. By way of Chicago. As I got older we relocated, visited ministries. Trying to feel that HOME (Querencia). I attended and later was diagnosed with cancer. I HATE CANCER. I rebuke it back to the pits of Hell from whence it came! During and after treatment. That sat me down and for years struggled with fibromyalgia. It was in those years I held on to EVERY teaching, prayer, song from my youth and that is what got me through. Honestly that is when I grew closer to the Lord. Didn’t mean to go there.☺️ If you have a heart too. Pray for me. At the time I was heavy into all of the fellowshipping that I SO MISS. Bishop Louis Henry Ford and GE Patterson were Bishop. I tried to stay somewhat in the know. Like I am doing now. I became familiar with who GE Patterson was. I love how he taught. The various sermons I listen to from him has been so encouraging. His personality reminds me so much of my home Pastor, Superintendent Eld RC Edwards. I loved him so much! He was a great man of God! We now have a new Bishop! I actually live in Michigan. Bishop Sheard preached at a church in my city that I was vetting. I love a good teacher! I was excited to know he was elected! As I washed dishes, I thought, I don’t know a whole lot about Bishop Blake. I can see that he has been a good leader. When he stood at the mic and spoke. You had no other choice but to listen. But right now, I am learning who the man is. COGIC for Life‼️ This is the Church of God in Christ... This is the Church of God in Christ… Oh you can’t join in… You have to be born in… This is the Church of God in Christ☺️ God bless everyone of you all‼️
