so any good MUST FIRST be a SoV and then MoE because of the Money regression theorem, meaning that the only other employment possible is the SoV or speculative vehicule (due to its owners perception)? are there any other economical characteristics for which a good is valued prior to becoming a MoE? is there any way to relate seashells and glass beads as having being used as a SoV prior to being used as MoE? perhaps the YAP stones are a much closer example to bitcoin than precious metals in the sense that those were rudimentary ledgers in which people accumulated value so they could at a later point exchange it for other goods yet the actual stones did not have any intrisic value.

(go for monero or similar privacy coins, btc has a public ledger and is taxable)

Nope. Shit SOV vs BTC, and go lookup Bisq.Network (non-KYC decentralised exchange) and Samourai Wallet + whirlpool.

@@Conza I'm not sure about the SOV of btc. You're telling me about new ways of dealing with BTC privacy which I'm not familiar with and are not well developed/tested. We will see.

@@senselessnothing SOV of BTC when you zoom out is clear as day. Of course short term volatility it moves towards being money. Your ignorance of Bisq & Samourai is not an argument. Been around for years and I've used both for years. Getting better UX, but v. well developed/tested. We don't need to SEE, we already know.

@@Conza I've been around crypto long enough to see multiple supposed privacy schemes on BTC fail, I don't see why this one won't when BTC is as transparent as it is.

All crypto coins fulfill the regression theorem. Are people volunarily exchanging other goods for these coins? Yes! So there are 2 possibilities: 1) They are doing it for monetary purposes. That means their belief in the future exchange value is already established. 2) they are doing it for non-monetary purposes like speculation. Thats the nonmonetary part. We do not have to look into ppls brains trying to figure out what theirs subjective belief was ehen they bought it. It's enought to recognize that it has value in ppls eyes
