Very cool patch! I believe the trick with multiplying the sine with the phase ramp is the basis of phase distortion synthesis and i love how you pushed it even further as a fm modulator

Great video Robert! I have also fun experiments in Poly Grid too. For example i use sampler with already cool sample and then i use sampler as modulation source for sine oscillator. It sounds great and you start to make something in sampler (different play modes, playback speed and so on) so it becomes more interesting sound! It's kind of resample technic for me. Cool way to remake sample or create different version of sample.

Let's just address the elephant in the room: Bitwig is way more fun than FM8. I still can't make anything musical from it, yet my first rounds of Poly Grid patches are things I love playing with to this very day
