I really love what Dan Breen said about someone coming into his house ❤❤❤❤, and not being sorry about killing them, only being sorry some got away. That is powerful!!! Thank you, Davy

Thanks for sharing. I have ancestors from County Cork and Carlow. I had no idea the Black and Tans were in southern Ireland. Being an American, I have to seek out historical information from sites like your's. It's really exciting to watch and listen to your history lessons. I'm glad to learn real history of Ireland.

My family is from Cork Kerry and Limerick so that explains alot. My grandfather always told me two things. One the irish have a lot to be sad about. That was his answer to when I asked him why our songs are so sad after I heard grace for the first time. Second of you want to learn about oppression talk to an Irishman

And yet, as bad they were treated here in the states, people here deny it. Even seeing signs on hotels and cafes back in the 1800s that placed them under dogs.

It seems that Irish rebel history holds a similar level of importance and reverence with the Irish people as the history of the Texas revolution holds in the hearts of born and raised Texans… makes me proud as hell as a Texan of Irish decent. God bless Texas & Erin go Braugh!!!!

A lot of the Black and Tans had ptsd so where extremely brutal and couldn’t control the violence they did

The Black and Tans are a national trauma, which I think is passed down epigenetically through generations. So many families have members who were shot in cold blood.

The RIC had no idea how to deal with a terroristic insurgency because they were just local bobbies 😂 7 men lying in wait for 6 days to ambush 2 local cops is hardly anything to brag about 😂
