Thanks for the review Rich! I bought a pair of the ultimate adventure bibs back in July. I like them a lot. The price is good too.

Right on, I have pocket envy! I think I'll try a pair of those adventure bibs next.

Big fan of black bibs. Been wearing them for years. They have been great for me. Good review. Fair and impartial and after more than a couple of rides.

Appreciate that, and glad to hear you've had positive experience as well!

Hello from southern Colorado! I’m a Clydesdale too (6’7, 280 lbs). I am a fan of Black Bibs. I like the sizes for larger riders, particularly the longer straps.

Nice, glad to hear it! Those longer shoulder straps are sweet.

I’ll have to look in to these. I’ve been wearing the Hauler cargo bibs from Prairie Sailor Co. Very similar price point and quality is great!

Good to know thank you. I haven't tried out Prairie Sailor Co yet, I'll put them on my list!

Nice review ! I own a set of black bibs and they have held up for 3 seasons now. For the price they are hard to beat .

3 years is pretty impressive with regular use, thanks for the input!

Interesting, how do you think the two compare?

Nice review! I have way more bibs than I need, but it has given me some perspective about what I like and don't. I was not impressed with the $40 version from BB, and they were quickly relegated to trainer-only duty. I have the $60 ones, also, and I like them much better. I intend to try the $80 "Ultimate" model in the near future. So far, my favorite bibs are the Le Col Pro, but I didn't/wouldn't pay full price. IMO, the bibs from NeoPro ($60) hit above their price point

Appreciate that, and appreciate the input on Le Col and NeoPro bibs too!

Thanks for taking the time to review these, Rich. While I'm sure they're comfortable, my two main concerns with any bib shorts is 1) lack of pockets and 2), more importantly, having to mess with the bibs when using the bathroom, which is the same reason why I don't use any bib pants for snow skiing. For me, I like Zoic's Ether shorts or their Reign knickers (lots of pockets on both) with their chamois - been using them for almost 10 years now, no issues. Granted, the shorts and knickers are MTB-focused and definitely not aero however, for my style of riding, they work really well. Thanks for the video, sir 🍻

Yep fair enough Karl, bibs are not the most convenient thing for an outhouse visit. I've tried a few different shorts, but always seem to go back to the bibs for comfort reasons, but can certainly understand your preference for shorts.

Black Bibs offers the shortest inseam that I could find, which is very important to me as a shorter rider. I liked them so well I bought a pair of adventure bibs (my favorite). I also bought a pair of the insulated knickers which are nice. They have held up well for me. Highly recommended.

Nice that is good to hear. I'll have to give both of those models a try as well thanks for the input!

And the good thing is, I can try all three for less than the price of some other bibs out there.

I was very much not impressed. They fell apart in less than a year for me, the chamois pad came loose internally and they're completely unusable

Oh interesting, appreciate the info on your experience with them. I'll be interested if mine continue to hold up.
