That would’ve gotten someone stoned in Ancient Egypt
@lissainlenoir4 күн бұрын
Actually, there was a Greek historian living in ancient Egypt during the reign of Cleopatra's father, and he saw a punishment for killing a cat that was much worse than stoning. He wrote that a Roman man accidentally ran over a cat with his chariot in the street at Alexandria, and a flash mob formed around him, they dragged him off the chariot and literally tore him apart. Can't recall the Greek man's name but he was either coming from or going to the famous Library when it happened and he witnessed the whole thing. The Roman was attached to the Roman ambassadors' offices in the city. But that didn't stop the Egyptians from pulling him apart to avenge that street cat.😮
@ianfortuna93854 күн бұрын
@ I don’t blame them in the slightest. And I didn’t mean stoning in a literal sense but yea they definitely gave you the business for killing a cat in ancient Egypt

@@IamRaven-warriorlove covers a multitude of sins. Raven has found a family who love her & that's all that matters to her. Disfigurement is just that she's a little different than others. Look at the military that come home with less limbs than what they started with. They are still loved by their families. I just lost my cat Harley after having him for 20 yrs. He was all black too. Blessings to you for opening your ❤ & home to this precious kitty.🎉

I've done the same when one of my cats has walked too close to my feet, and I immediately feel so terrible. I'm all over them as well, giving snuggles, telling them that I'm sorry over and over, telling them I love them, and giving them a "special treat". It's usually not a hard kick, and the cat doesn't seem bothered at all, but I always feel like an absolute monster.

I get the whole trust thing. I have no idea what happened to my #3 before I took him in. He was so paranoid that even though he knew I was the one putting out food for him, there'd be situations where, eg, I'd go outside to put out the garbage, see him in the Cat Igloo I had out front (styrene-foam cooler with U-shaped cutout) and he see me, I'd say hiya on my way back in, and in the 2min it'd take to come back out with a fresh plate of food, he'd be gone. (He'd be back a while later to eat, but never when I'd still be outside.) To this day, any little unexpected noise jars him. He could be sleeping in his perch and all I have to do is sniffle, and it's like someone poked him awake. I could be sitting upstairs and he'll come up the stairs and walk with such trepidation and be staring at the carpet in front of him like something's out to get him. He does run around like a nut and play with the other cats, but that fear he used to have still shows itself, and it'll be going on 2yrs that I had him. He has no fear of me directly (it's so cute when I reach out to pet him and he stands up to meet my hand halfway for a scritching), but anything... unexpected... still jump-scares him. I can only imagine what he's gone through.

Thank you for taking Raven into your home and your heart. She is as deserving of a loving home as every other cat is. Living with a pet who has been traumatised and emotionally damaged isn't easy, but seeing them heal is so rewarding. About 10 years sgo, my daughter and I rescued a cat from an abusive owner. She was a beautiful little calico, and they'd had her for years, physically abusing her the whole time. They weren't ashamed of the things they'd done to her, and didn't mind telling us about their abuse of her. Abusing her seemed to be their entertainment. They played "kitty soccer" with her, kicking her back and forth, and throwing her across the room. They choked her so badly that they damaged her voicebox, leaving her with a squeaky little meow. They split her top lip in half with a knife, and cut up her bottom lip. They also burned her face and other parts of her body with cigarettes. Her body was covered in scars. I honestly don't know where she got the strength to survive all of that for years, and not just give up at some point. When we brought her home, she had a terrible infection in her lips and top gums that required antibiotics for a month, as well as daily cleaning with a medicated cleanser. I knew, that for the first couple of weeks, the cleaning really hurt, but it had to be done. I talked to her while I did it, telling her I was sorry, telling her that I loved her, telling her that she was the bravest little girl I'd ever known, and thanking her for letting me clean her mouth. It took a long time for her to heal emotionally, and she was so scared of everything...feet, closed doors, brooms, mops, loud noises, the dark (she lived in their empty, filthy concrete basement, with no lights and not a single soft thing to lie on, only brought upstairs when they wanted to "play" with her), and on and on...that we had to be very careful about everything we did around her. She was the sweetest girl, and I was so glad that we found out about her, and could give her a home where she was loved and safe for the last 2 1/2 years of her life. A home where she finally experienced gentleness, kindness, happiness, good food and fresh water, toys and playing, soft beds, treats, and all the snuggles with her brothers and sisters. I wish we could have had more time with her, but she left this world knowing that she was loved, and I take comfort in that.

Hallo again❤, there's a great book called "All cats have got Asperger's Autism". It's so true! I'm an "Aspie", too and I do admit that many cats have the same daily issues as I have. Our main problem is that we can't forget bad things! When I came to my primary school, I was often pushed around by the other kids, they called me "strange", because I liked different clothes and I was very shy. Now I'm 62 and have luckily found some really true friends. But sometimes, when I get criticized by someone I still think that everything will start again. There's still the fear of being rejected and treated in a bad way. I'm sure it's the same with Raven🐈⬛. It will be exciting to watch how Raven reacts to the other cats. I'm convinced she will pick a friend, but it will take some time. In the beginning she will try to avoid them. But judging from her behaviour so far, I expect she will overcome her fears. She likes to be active, that might be an advantage. I will follow her way to navigate through life. And I'm optimistic! Btw: I love the last sentences of your vid! They were like made for me, too😊❤! Thank you for everything and give some long hugs to Raven! Lots of love from Germany 🐈⬛🐈🥰🐾💜🐾💜🐾💜.

I just don't know how somebody can be so mean to our little babies. They give us hour's of fun and happiness and watch over us when we don't feel so good and of course unconditional love ❤️. All they need in return is a warm place to sleep and eat and a family's love. I subscribed because I really want to hear how she is doing. I hope all goes well with the socialisation with the other cats. She is very special and Buttercup and I send her much love ❤️ and a big hug. She deserves a easy life after so much trauma. All the best.
