If you like remakes check out All Along The Watchtower. Was written by Bob Dillan, remade by Jimmy Hendrix, then remade by The Dave Matthews Band. The best version in my opinion is DMB from the album Recently. And if you go there check out Halloween.

Back at either the 98 or 99 Music Midtown festival here in Atlanta, another band (Goo Goo Dolls, if I’m not mistaken) were supposed to headline the big 99X stage and pulled out for like a sore throat or something. The Black Crowes were unsurprisingly in town for the weekend and came out and played. One of the best festival performances I’ve ever seen. Hometown crowds always help, but the fact that no one was expecting to see them that night til like an hour before it happened made it even better.

I have a cousin whose family owned an insurance agency in Atlanta. While visiting with him one night, he asked "You ever hear of a band called The Black Crowes?" I said "Hell yeah! Why?" He had just wrote and signed a policy insuring all of their tour and recording equipment and instruments. He asked if they were any good. I let him know they were huge. He said "Good, so they will be able to pay their bills." I asked why the hell he didn't know who they were, since they were from his home town.

Still love this song. One of the greatest covers ever. The Otis Redding original was amazing. I prefer this version over the one they play now on the radio with the horns added-in. The Black Crowes are from Atlanta GA. Otis Redding was from Macon GA. I believe that is where they shot this video. I've actually seen the Britain's Got Talent and that great Courtney Hadwin performance of this song. But nothing can beat The Black Crowes version. I'm now going to watch your reaction to The Big O doing this song. He was an amazing man and one of the greatest singers and entertainers this world has ever had. We lost him way too young to a plane crash in December 1967, just a few months after I was born. That man was a genuine force of nature.

Good cover of an original song, first put down by 'THE' man on the scene. Otis Redding. Great to see that you have the sync thing sorted Jamel. I'm glad I popped back in. and what a track to pop back in to.

Fantastic cover of Otis. But the Black Crowes really impressed me when I saw them in a club in Champaign, Illinois, lock into a Stones-like groove with “Could I’ve Ever Been So Blind.”

Thank You For Another Great Reaction, I Remember Watching Courtney Because She Floored Everyone With Her Voice Especially Being So Shy ,You Can't Judge A Book By Its Cover Because As Soon As She Opened Her Mouth It Was Like Damn Where Did That Voice Come From!!!!! Thank You Jamel For Keeping Great Music Alive, God Bless You And Your Family Have A Blessed Day
