It's amazing how, if you would listen to this cover for the first time (without knowing the original song), you'd think it's such a fresh and awesome sounding song, even with today's standards. That's how great Death's music is, and it deserves every bit of recognition in the metal community!
@keithbarlow9701 Жыл бұрын
I agree about the recognition. Death was one of earliest pioneers of the genre, yet that isn't the main reason for their widespread recognition. They are loved and praised because everything they released was genuinely great. Chuck's style stands out in a sea of mostly shitty metal bands. I can't think of a musician who's more deserving than Chuck to serve as ambassador for death metal.

I love how probably the metal community is the only or one of the few who honors their passed artists in such a way. I mean this is not the only death cover around obviously, but this whole cover series going on so far, also for othe bands, never fails to amaze me that incredible artists themself pay so much respect to some of the forefathers. I mean yeah, you have the occasional pop cover of a newer artist every once in a while, but that's about it. A whole band playthrough, multiple covers over different albums from different bands, tribute bands... that kind of stuff is much more frequent in the harder styles of music...
@andreaseverin13463 жыл бұрын
