This video about the Black Footed Ferrets on the brink of extinction truly moved me. It not only highlights the rarity of these animals but also serves as a profound reminder of the importance of environmental conservation. Thank you to the production team for providing such a poignant and realistic view of the threats facing Black Footed Ferrets and how we can take action to protect them.

The Black-Footed Ferret (Neoputorius nigripes) is more closely related to the American Mink (Neovison vison) than it is to the two old world ferret species.

You made the writers of Joe Pickett proud. Crazy to think a Paramount original series was based on the extinction of these little savage weasel’s. Fingers crossed we repopulate thousands of other species we humans once deemed worthless. The good news for the Canadian ferrets is the frozen entrances shouldn’t be an issue within ten years. So there will be a few positives of the Global warming we humans have undoubtedly caused. Shame on us all!
