I have always covered bedroom mirrors if I am staying in a place where there will be one in my room. In my house though, I do not allow mirrors in the bedrooms.

This reminds me of the house in Mississippi that has been called the house in between... Alice, the owner, fought back against the spirit infestation and is back in her house. There are a great many places I have been in my career, and never ceases to amaze me the instances where spirits can somehow impersonate demonic activity to remove the living. As for differences in time between planes of existence, I think it was Dunne who posited that time is relative and that our time overlaps the past and the future. I am reminded of the number of Biblical verses that touch on the subject. Looking forward to your next post, but for now, I am making sure all my nightlights are on, doors and windows secured... Avery I grew up in the 5th house erected on a basement installed in 1712. It was in Hackensack, NJ ....developed initially by the Dutch, before the English even took over NY.Fpr months we experienced symptoms of a haunted house Investigated by Bergen County, State of NJ and finally Americanuseum of Natural history. Being a kid I was frightened Everyday all our. friends and neighbors would come over. My parents were very frustrated. Finally Museum folks found the ghosts. They were a mother racoons and babies. Where they came from...who knows? There was no open space only 5 miles from GW Bridge . Never forget. Have had garden variety precognition several times but no haunting ever again Brian

Ok. A cabin in the woods with paranormal activity a mirror with ghost in them a possible homicide strange sounds from the forest and flashy lights . I'm sleeping with all the lights on tonight . Great story as usual . Can't wait until the Halloween stories . Costume optional . ;) 🕷🕸⚰👻

There's also two ranches here in Colorado, one near this house, in Elbert county with similar activity and the other not far away from that to the north and east with skinwalker ranch type activity. Something's not quite right on the high plains in Colorado. Maybe its the quartz in the soil coming down from the mountains over the last 60 million years lol.

Absolutely awesome episode, Avery! I think the supernatural tales are some of my favorites! It's always interesting to see how the mind will rearrange itself to convince a person that what they see or experience is explainable or relatable. It forces a person to fit facts into neat little boxes of what they understand to be possible. "Surely, someone must be making a full time job of pranking us for months/years, playing music in the middle of nowhere, sneaking onto our property to rattle chains and move things....there's no alternative. Ghosts? Don't be silly. Those are children's tales." Also, you brought up a really good point! It IS often the father figure or some other male figure that is the last to believe evidence of ghosts and hauntings around them in these situations. I wonder if there's some explanation that makes males less prone to find evidence of the supernatural in these situations. Obviously, personal paradigm comes into play here. I'm a male, but the Thai half of my family has had experience with ghosts back through generations. I feel like I was always going to be open to the idea of ghosts. (Although now that I think about it, only the women of my family have been the ones to have the experiences that I know of. 🤔) I'd love to know if there was some kind of reasoning to this. Ghosts only have ONE WEAPON they can use against you: Your Own Fear! One of the most common sentences used in the Holy Bible is, “Do not be afraid.” As someone who has studied earthbound spirits extensively, I can tell you that ghosts remain earthbound for the following reasons: 1. They have unfinished business on Earth and need help. 2. They died suddenly, don’t know they’re dead, they are confused and need help. 3. They just don’t want to crossover because they are tied to someone or something here on Earth. 4. Fear of the Judgment. There may also be malevolent spirits, but you can take steps to protect yourselves against them. You are NOT helpless and ghosts are not the typical stereotypes of ghosts you see in movies. One last thing: I have currently had 28 encounters with ghosts.

I know your comment was awhile ago, but your the very First person that ever said that the souls Need Help!! I've always wondered WHY ghost hunters Never Help the souls cross over?! I know you can't know why some ghost hunters ask the spirits stupid questions or ask them to perform for "evidence", seems like some of them never really believe the evidence or they do and get scared and run away. Most ghost hunters never actually help the souls, they usually just use the spirits for financial gain for themselves. They usually make things worse for the families that ask the ghost hunters for help with the haunting in their homes, they just leave and really just stirred up the spirits instead of helping anyone living or dead! It always makes me angry that they don't help, especially when it is children! If I could ask them questions, I'd ask them why are they there, are they trapped, what is it like when you're dead, do they have any pain, and how can I help them ?! Why is it that the ghosts don't like burning sage, what does it do to them?! When you had your experiences could you actually ask them anything, they'd answer? The truth is I'd probably not ask those questions because I'd be really frightened, and probably run away too. But I really want to know answers to those questions, what it's like on that side, and do they have any pain,and is there any evil demons, or just really evil souls that used to be on Earth as humans?! Have they seen Angels on that side, and do they know why they're trapped? Sorry for the long rant, but your comment is really brilliant and you have a great heart with compassion for those souls that need help! I really hope you're safe and have a peaceful life now! @@michellerichardson1427 That is very sweet and very well written. Why do ghost hunters never help these earthbound spirits crossover? I think you nailed it. They just want to see a ghost and or use their experience for financial gain. They don’t care about anything else, seemingly. I have not come across one so-called ghost hunter yet who has seen or encountered a ghost. How do you help them crossover? I wish I knew all the answers myself. I have limited knowledge and limited experience in that regard. I see all these ghost hunters going to all these same places that have reputations for being haunted over and over and I think to myself, “What a waste of time.” The fact of the matter is, you don’t have to go to these places at all to encounter ghosts. It doesn’t have to be at night, either. I once encountered a ghost at Mel’s Diner in Los Angeles on Sunset while having breakfast! Female. When the waitress brought my breakfast to me at my outside table, she asked me what was wrong. I asked her what she meant and she said “You look like you’ve seen a ghost!” I said, “Lady, you don’t know the half of it.” If you truly wish to help a spirit crossover, I would recommend doing extensive research on the subject as I am doing now. Some of these earthbound spirits might not want to know that they are dead, and if told, they may react violently. Read up on the subject. Talk to a member of the clergy. I recently had something very strange happen in my own house. My thermostat started playing my favorite song, “Hotel California” by Eagles at 2:45 AM. I still have no explanation for it.

So many mysteries in one location.!!! The description of time that you mentioned as it differs between the spirit and physical worlds reminds me of this scripture 2Pet. 3. [8] But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. Just to say that I can see that possibility of two very different time systems. & once again as with the “Conjuring” house we see that not only are houses haunted but people too 😅 👻 yikes! Ya know lately - I’ve learned that occult practices target geographical locations. If a curse has never been spoken against, networked against, it just continues to evolve and grow in size and power. It’s actually quite sad, we “know” that we war not against flesh and blood but so many do the horror movie “dad thing” and ignore.

What the hell does Joey Buttafuco have to do with scary stuff? I like this podcast but it is often uneven. Other Worlds is ok podcast but like this podcast gets uneven sometimes. Lore is an excellent podcast but the author narrator sounds like a prima Donna. He says to contact him but he never responds
