aw man the 360 has my heart, in 2008-2009 i got my first red ring console and i heatgunned it, played gears of war for the first time and i was blown away at the graphics! it lasted 7 months until 0102 came back, after that i got into buying them in lots on ebay and just messing with them, i'd love to go back

I had a Red Ring Xenon console. Warranty label still intact. Caps were bulging and XClamps were still present since it was never opened before. I fully recapped it, replaced the thermal paste and it booted straight into the Blades, which really blew my mind. I thought the GPU may have been bad. I now plan on disabling the EFuse, JTagging it and getting the GPU replaced by a BGA installer with an Elpis GPU for it to last well into the future.

@@8bitnation419 Elpises are a little finicky, they do not like being heated up. My buddy Michael could probably fix it he fixed these

ok, for recap question, what temps did you use!? i can easily recap OG xbox pcb, but 360 i always managed to burn the pads off, harder to decap imo

I actually do have two consoles of mine like this. One was manufactured 11/30/05 and the other 11/24/05. They both have 2.0.7371.0 and have chipped/missing plastic case pieces. Only real difference is that the older one has a samsung drive and the other a hitachi.

Absolutely love the blades dash, I just wish microsoft would allow us users the option to freely change what dashboard we want. A shame its a reality that will never exist.

@@kairophylax yes, one more dashboard update as a huge fan letter to 360 fans. Choose whatever dash you want freely, and make a new blade for avatars

Is there a tip on finding these rrod consoles like this? Like I’d assume they’d have to be in decent condition, right?

@@superpacman256 sometimes, I usually look for puncture marks on the back, (signs of it being opened before.) and avoid those. Intact silver warranty stickers too, and only 2005 or 2006 models

⁠@@SethYoung-1890Okay so like there’s two listings I have my eye on. An 07 pro falcon with some light scuffs along the top, some splotches on the empty hdd area, and some light scratches on the sticker on the back, and a 06 core 360 with the hdd cover grill still on it, with dirtiness and scuffs along the side of the console above the disc drive. Both look to be in pristine condition aside from the aforementioned stuff, and neither look to be tampered with from the back. Which one do you think I should get?
