I appreciate this so much. For me its quilting. I can get lost in the process whether it’s planning, cutting, sewing or whatever. It’s great therapy, and thanks for the reminder not to compare ourselves with others!💕❤️👍🏻

I don't understand how can he be so dexterous if he's blind, when he was putting back his mic, the way he threw his brush inside that box and immediately found it again.

This makes me want to get back it painting. I'm 15, and I've only ever made one painting and it was a housewarming gift for my dad who moved away, out of state. It was a the silloughett of a rattle snake on a rock, with a sunset behind it. I actually impressed myself, and it's my dream to be a successful artist, that includes painting, and even animation. I stopped painting after that picture, simply for the reason that I'm lazy, and didn't want to deal with a mess. But John Bramblitt inspires me, and I no longer care, I want to get back into it...

The power of the mind is still untapped in our western society. This guy is just like you and I, only difference is that he wills himself to do painting as a blind, you can too. Don't let your ailments stop you from doing what you love.

What I always found odd in each of those videos of him giving demonstrations Is. He will look up to the auditions, then glance down to his paint tray while he mix up the colors. Then to the canvas, starting the line work. Before looking back up to the people watching. Even I don't look at the paint I'm mixing up half the time. Choose to make it darker or lighter as I go along. But guess some old habit die hard. And he work is amazing. So can't complain.

Hi. I'm blind and I look at people when I talk to them. I find it polite to do so. I think people who are blind from birth maybe don't do that because they never have seen people and had eye contact, but people who go blind later in life still try to face the person they're talking to. Also it's super hard to get a guide dog if you haven't got medical reports etc. They do check that sort of thing. I lost my sight 16 years ago but I still look down at stuff I'm doing it's just muscle memory thats all.

Rusher There's a thing called "voice to text", where it converts the spoken word into the digitally written word. Amazing, isnt it? And they probably use a mobile assistant (e.g. Siri or Google Assistant) to help navigate. Theyre probably listening to the audio of the video instead of really watching I.

3d modeling programs are crazy. They can take a photo and raise the lines and make them 3d. I believe that's what he does. He can then paint on that, while feeling the lines. It's a really cool process.

in the chance anyone here actually buys this he claims he lost his sight in 2001, you can go find a painting done by him of heath ledgers joker, which is completely accurate to the movie. this would be fine and dandy if the dark knight didnt come out in 2008. of course maybe hes a time traveler as well?
@xXwhitebandanakidXx

Anyone can describe the way the joker looks, blind people “watch” movies too. It’s the same concept of a police sketch artist. They draw people they have never seen in their life and it’s almost identical because they are that good

He knows what heath ledger looks like already and would just need someone to describe to him what the makeup looks like. Everyone knows what the joker looks like as a baseline and he’d just need to be told what this version is. My mom is blind and she makes beautiful oil pastel paintings.

you can see in one of the photos brought up on the screen hes feeling someones face. of course he didnt feel ledgers face. But this guy, just by touching someones face, could replicate an image on paper. Im sure there are ways of discribing images to him in enough detail.

if you are suspicious, realise that he had been doing this for 14 years, painting I mean. that's a ton of time to develop his coordination, sense of touch, and his ability to tell what everything is. It's also possible he might have the slightest bit of vision, but considering hr is wearing the glasses, he probably can't see much. As a nearly blind person, as well as having a blind cousin, I have see people first hand who can nearly appear as a fully functioning person, yet they have no vision. If I were to be blindfolded I would be able to function a lot better than a fully sighted person, as I am used to focusing on my hearing, and what I feel than anything else. Certainty comes with time. He knows where all of his supplies are. I know I just ranted and I'm sorry but basically I'm just trying to inform you on these kinds of things. :D

1. He said he started PAINTING in 2002, yes after he lost his eyesight 2. People can read braille or listen to audio books which you could still say "read" because it would generally just be an odd thing to say "I listened to this book..." simply because its how people speak 3. People can do simple art without being serious about it

@@Justaperson354 i think he actualy said my paints ARE braille... as in, he adds stuff to the colors to texture them so that each color feels different... thats how he knows which color hes using.. and where hes putting it... saying he could read his paintings, because he can feel which colors are where on the canvas..
