I've never watched the show beyond the 'blinds' as the show just turns into a pure competition. This guy is better than anything that's ever been on the show but because he is not a marketable popstar (which is what these shows are all about) there will be little they can do with him in the context of this show. He is already an established artist and Australia's only throat singer so hopefully the exposure will encourage more people to check him out. The Voice Australia usually plays it safe and rarely has diverse acts. Other countries go from pop to death metal.

Those comments saying this man doesn't belong on The Voice, why not, he is singing is he not, just in a foreign language. I found him mesmerising. What a talent!
@Doin4 жыл бұрын
The reason people are saying it is because The Voice is not about breaking musical and creative boundaries but, like Idol, finding someone they can market with a pop artist formula. They cannot do it with this guy, and nor should they. If anything, The Voice should be about showcasing people like this instead and encouraging mainstream audiences - especially the kids - to branch out in terms of what they listen to. The Voice Australia generally plays it safe. Almost everyone sings a safe commercial pop/rock tune. Other countries have had people doing death metal.
@MikeAvoo4 жыл бұрын
@@Doin Then they shouldn't have turned for the guy?
@Doin4 жыл бұрын
@@MikeAvoo Of course they should have turned. He has vocal abilities that the judges, despites their successful careers, do not have and would probably love to work with. As Guy said, he doesn't know what he would be able to teach him (and he would be right) - he just wants to get him into a studio and create. My comment had to do with people saying he doesn't belong on the show because he doesn't fit their formula of a popstar. However, as I said, this type of music is what The Voice should be about. Other countries push the envelope with the styles they include. The Voice Quebec had a guy do 'Stabwound' by technical death metal band, Necrophagist (the house band impressively managed to pull it off - watch someone do a guitar cover, it's extremely technical) and the judges turned.
@Doin4 жыл бұрын
@Adam Efimoff I do agree that The Voice is more interesting than Idol as all the entrants are, for the most part, professional singers to some degree, or at least have had training. They also have to audition for the producers whereas Idol allowed anyone who wanted to audition to do so leading to disasterous performances and comedy fodder.

Simply amazing. Since I discovered the mongolian music, it has took me into a deepest level of hearing. Music for the heart, not only the ears.

What I love most about this performance is you can see and feel he's singing with heart and soul, not just for the show. My favorite performance of all time on The Voice. I genuinely hope he tries again.
