really sorry to see that engine get wrecked. Hope time and funds allow a new block and rotating assembly. If you re-use any part, just a suggestion to have them dye tested a few ways if possible for cracks. Food for thought. Everything took enormous forces when it broke. At least the curd fryin booth didn't get hit with flyin bits. 8^) Cheers!

Ouch! When things are pushed to the max something has to give. It did sound off though right of the line. I have rebuilt both IH and Deere engines and I am really surprised how much abuse those engines can take. Regardless of color all engines don't have a lot iron between the bottom of the head bolt thread bores, and the top of the main bearing bolt thread holes. Good luck with building the next one.

Oh Emily, that sucks so bad! I don't pretend to know what a pulling engine costs, but my gut tells me it's in the tens of thousands. The only positive is nobody was injured by flying pieces. It'll all work out. Just takes time and a boat load of money.

Take a piece of the block to a machine shop, and have them mill it down to something like a size 8 (?)circle, and then find a place to mount a shiny little rock, maybe a carat or so....😂😂😂

Wow... I was a diesel tech for twenty plus years. I've built race car engines' raced moto cross and snowmobiles and built derby cars. I've blown shit up, but DAMM! I've never, ever seen anything like that! I feel your pain Avery! That sucks the big one man! But you'll be back. One thing I will say, is it did make a pretty damn cool video when Emily slowed it down.... Don't sell it. You need to make a lawn ornament out if that sucker. I guarantee you no one else will have one like it. And you can give Emily a piston ring in place of an engagement ring and yake the money you saved on an engagement ring and put it toward a new engine. She's a good girl. She'll understand!
