in response to the "MaybeCaleb" comment abotu it being mid --- a subsection of wrestling fans very very very very very much care about wins and losses, in terms of numbers, and not the story being told. Kevin Owens talked about it when he lost to steve austin, he calls it probably his career highlight, but that he had to just detach from twitter due to that subsection of fans ranting about him being buried by losing a match. People have different ways of watching the product. MOST I would say its like a movie. For some its pretend like its 100% a real athletic competition and they well yell "_______ was buried" every match they lost instead of looking at it as part of a story arc

@@kidneystonermusic Well its less about suspending disbeilef and more that 99% of TV matches were The Undertaker vs the Brooklyn Brawler, followed by Hulk Hogan vs John Nobody and then maybe once every few months you'd have The Undertaker (after winning every week) vs Hulk Hogan (after winning every week). Its not that "nothing really matters" nothing matches didn't matter in the 80s or early 90s when you had big name wrestlers vs jobbers who didn't even get an entrance for 99% of matches --- obviously the big name wrestlers were always going to win

The segment was perfect. I’ve never seen heyman take a bump like that(although Jacob Fatu completely missed him on the splash, but that was for Heyman safety). I love that Roman had to fight to get the USOs on his side through hell in a cell and Jimmys injury at the time, while Solo just gets them all in line like that! It was so good!!!

I say this as a 37 year old that has been watching wrestling since before I could remember. My dad and my uncle were WCW and WWF fans and it was always on. This last year has been some of the best wrestling I have ever seen. For sure the best it has been since Mania 17. This Smackdown episode was pretty great. I think we are headed towards a reunited good Bloodline versus the bad Bloodline. One lead by Roman. One lead by Rock. This will play out during the bigger PLEs like Summerslam, Survivor Series, Rumble and Mania. The only thing I don't know is how long it will take for all of this to play out. It could all happen and wrapped up by next year's Mania or it could all last a couple more years. I have been a Roman fan since the SHIELD came on the scene. I think it is awesome that they have found a way to set him up to be the massive face they tried to get him to be for years.

Not specific to this vid but I relate to your love for wrestling so much - it’s like we’re on the same journey just a year apart I used to watch as a kid before giving up around mid 200s. Clearing up the relationship between Paul and Punk a bit. They are genuine friends. Paul was running WWEs version of ECW in the mid 2000s and was given CM Punk on his show. At that time ECW was kind of like developmental for Raw and Smackdown. Punk was so good and Vince didn't want to see it because he didn't have "the look" that his handpicked guys like a Cena or Hogan etc had. Paul was constantly singing Punks praises until he was finally called up. When Punk first called himself a "Paul Heyman Guy" most fans didn't know how important Heyman was to his career yet. In an interview Heyman said he originally was only under contract to work with Lesnar but Vince had asked him to work with somebody else and without asking who Heyman said no. It wasn't until Vince bugged Heyman about it that he finally asked who he wanted him to work with. As soon as Vince said CM Punk Heyman immediately agreed

Then we hear Roman's theme song hit. He comes running down the ramp and spears Jacob, spears Solo. The babyface team uses this opportunity and wins. The babyface team is celebrating in the ring when Randy turns Cody around and gives him an RKO. Sets up Roman vs Solo and Cody vs Randy Orton for Summerslam.

Not because he wants to help Cody, but because Solo's orders were to keep Cody in check until Roman came back to deal with him. He won't want Solo taking his win. #ImAPaulHeymanGirl Paul isn’t an evil scientist or a mad genius for no reason, my only thought was when was the last time Paul took a bump? Especially something like that. There is no doubt in my mind that Roman will be at SummerSlam. The build up to SummerSlam will be the start of the bloodline Civil War. In relation to Paul himself, he’s actually been written off TV for a bit, this makes complete sense. Maybe we get to see Roman and The Uso’s team with Cody Rhodes to take on bloodline 2.0. This would also get people talking to see if Roman and Cody could coexist. That’s all I’ve really got right now, maybe we’ll get Zilla Fatu (Umaga’s son) come into the company as a surprise entrant at next years RR, maybe survivor series if he’s had his match on the independence scene with Ken Anderson/Ken Kennedy which is due to take place around November by then.

My fantasy booking. Bloodline wins at money in the bank standing tall to main event the show. Roman returns at MITB. In some manner Roman stands tall at Summerslam. Then at Summerslam the return of the Rock. Thus leading to an OG bloodline vs current bloodline Wargames match. The time in between Summerslam and war games Roman needs time to win over who will be his team, I wouldn't imagine them jumping to be on his side right away. Piece by piece the crowd pops as he gets people back on his side.

I wasn’t buying this storyline up until a couple weeks ago. I felt like they were just dragging the story along for the sake of keeping it alive but Paul heyman is a masterclass and I give him so much credit in putting it over. Heyman sold this all so well and this is some of the best work of his career. He made me buy into the story and I feel like the crowd has progressively gotten more into it as well by booing solo more and more. MITB. We start off with the Men's MITB ladder match. Jey Uso, LA Knight, and Chad Gable is the three favorites to win the match. Jey Uso is climbing the ladder then suddenly Solo comes out onto the ramp. Jey doesn't realize it and wins the MITB contract. Jey celebrates then turns to see Solo clapping. Later that night the three on three tag team match happens. The match itself nothing important happens other than Solo pins Cody. The road to Summerslam is setting up Solo vs Cody Rhodes. The new Bloodline attacks Randy and KO making it so they are injured and won't be able to show at Summerslam. Main event of Summerslam we have Solo vs Cody for the WWE Undisputed Universal Championship. The new Bloodline attacks Cody making it so Solo wins the title. Solo as a new champion celebrating with the nrw Bloodline then suddenly Roman, Jimmy, and Jey comes out and attacks the new Bloodline. Roman spears Solo as Jey grabs his MITB contract. Jey tries to cash in his contract on Solo but Jacob attacks Jey making the cashin invalid (Jey still has the contract). After Summerslam it is going to be a three way fued with the New Bloodline, the OG bloodline, and Cody, Randy, and Kevin Owens. This would build all the way to Survivor Series where for the first time ever it would be a three way Wargames match. Where personally I'll have the Rock come back and cost the OG Bloodline the win and have the New Bloodline win. Making a storyline that writes itself. Roman vs Rock at Maina, Usos vs two members of the New Bloodline, and finally Solo vs the winner of the Royal Rumble... Sami Zayn. (The Solo vs Sami Zayn is just something I want to see. It has no impact to the story at all.)

I think the plan will be two fold in the short term; Jimmy will be re-introduced into this, as he is the only one who wasn't able to catch fire with the crowd, unfortunately, as great a personality, mic skills, and talent as he is. He is also loveable. I was one of the people who loved that "big bro got ya" thing he kept on saying to Jey during their match build....It's unfortunate they never got enough time. Point is, most of his pops have come from protecting people we care about, and if there was ever a storyline built around protecting Paul, and possibly turning Jimmy face, him serving as the last line of genuine backup for Paul is actually great. I also think it's rooted in reality because it seems everyone in that family tree genuinely loves and speaks highly of Paul. The story of Jimmy protecting Paul and tring to "discipline" a younger bro crossing the line in Solo is a possible route. Basically, "big bro got it" This may go on till summerslam, till Roman returns, with that serving as part 2 and Jimmy having garnered his own spark and hopelly catching fire. The fact that Solo already has this heat means he's caught fire too. Roman coming back after attention has been given to Jimmy achieves what they set out to do, him and Heyman, make all the family members stars. I also think HHH is the type of person willing to push Jimmy because he was a big part of the storyline.

This is hitting perfectly, and for the second time, the Bloodline story is heating up when everyone said the story was done & stale after WM 39 AND 40. Idk when and how Roman comes back, but I hope it's a surprise. Heyman is an absolute GOAT, and I'll bet my life Rock will not ever put himself in a Wargames match😂. House show losses have never counted/mattered in story unless mentioned on TV. Unfortunately, some fans are just too "inside" for their own good. This is why I STRONGLY advise you avoid news sites.

Here’s how I think Roman’s return will go: He comes back during Summerslam, takes on Solo but LOSES mainly because he’s overpowered and outnumbered. This would elevate Solo and confirming in his head that he’s the tribal chief. Roman then goes back to Jey and Jimmy and convinces them to come back but they don’t, at least right away. (This next part I’m just manifesting. I’m not sure if this will happen.) The Wyatt6 then go after Roman after all he’s done for his family leading Jey and Jimmy to save him because they still love him. The trio form again but they need a 4th member. I could see arguments for it being Sami or Seth. So Roman’s team goes to fight Solo again to take back the Bloodline BUT THE ROCK COMES BACK AND SIDES WITH SOLO BECAUSE HES THE TRIBAL CHIEF. So Roman brings CODY (which is why I thinkSeth should be the 4th member of Roman’s team so they can recruit Cody) that’s how we get Cody v Rock at Wrestlemania Sorry for my yapping I’ve really been brainstorming on how all of this is going to go down lol I’m so excited

there are speculations that Hikuleo (the Tongans big little brother) will sign with WWE too. and Solo indeed lost more matches in recent times then he did before(he was heavily protected), so it could be that the 3 tongan brothers see weakness in Solo after the loss at SummerSlam and usurp his position with Jacob. that way we could possibly do a OG Bloodline against the "fake" Bloodline at Survivor Series. of course it is not so easy to manage/reconcile that storywise. but there is also that split between WWE trained/homegrown talents (OGs) vs the outsiders/usurpers in their own family. another rumor is, Jacob is undercover for Roman so we get Solo + 3 tongans vs OGs + Jacob. but the Rocks involvement should possibly come after/around Survivor Series to line up Mania.

The way the rock factors into this, I believe, is Building to war games, OG bloodline reunites to tackle the New Bloodline Roman, Rock, Jimmy, and Jey, together, but on rocky terms all face down the United front of Solo, Tama, Tonga, and Jacob. But then, The Rock turns on Roman, and allies himself with the new bloodline, revealing that as the High Chief, he's the one who authorized Solo to take over. 5 on 3 the new bloodline easily overpower the OG, and they now need to reassess how they approach Wargames. The Rock, having returned, now has unfinished business with Cody, and trusts his faction to continue to outdo the OG, as they'll be out of friends to call upon for help, having burnt too many bridges over the years. And then it happens, in the final hour, Jey Uso reaches out to Sami Zayn. Sami cannot return to Romans side after everything that's happened. But, when at the end of the Go Home edition of smackdown, the bloodline interferes in a US title match where Kevin Owens is attempting to capture the title, the bloodline beat him down and write him off tv. Sami runs down for the save, Jey runs in to back up his friend, and Roman and Jimmy run in to protect Jey before wargames. Inevitably, Sami once again finds himself standing side by side with the Usos as Kevin is being stretchered out, and as the new bloodline runs through the crowd to hightail it out of there, we close on a facedown between Roman and Sami Zayn, where Roman acknowledges Sami Uso. Wargames is set, the Rock is preoccupied, and the original bloodline, pre Solo, is truly back.

I feel that Jimmy Uso will return at MITB, and Roman at SummerSlam. Then they begin the build towards Wargames, Bloodline Civil War 2.0 (all the while Heyman and Roman try to convince Jey to comeback to them). Then the match at Wargames ends up being with the leader of the winning team becoming the rightful Tribal Chief and Head of the Table, while the losing team is banished from the Bloodline forever.

I think that The Rock is secretly behind all this, making Solo the main guy while he is gone and recruit new members of his family to form this new bigger and badder Bloodline. After Roman lost to Cody on Night 2, he can't accept the defeat that one of his own family members could lose to Cody, especially after he had beat him up for weeks. So in order to get rid of the old bloodline that led to the loss of the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship, he is creating this new faction while Roman is gone. Roman, Jimmy, Jey and maybe even Sami will come back together to try and overturn this bloodline because Roman does not approve of them kicking Paul Heyman out and does not think that Solo can ever replace him as the Tribal Chief. We have some sort of war games match with the 8 of them, and when OG bloodline wins, The Rock comes out and destroys everyone and stares down Roman Reigns and they build to Rock vs Roman for Wrestlemania.

That "lost 40 matches" line is so lame. He lost to LA Knight over and over on untelivised house shows which have never really been considered cannon and where the faces almost always win with the same results each night. That's like saying the Undertaker sucked because he lost to Bret Hart for the title 40 times in a year in the 90s. That's just not how it's ever worked.

As far as the Rock thing goes, my first thought (along with many others in the comments it appears) would be Sami, because there is at least some connection, though with how it ended it would be tough to tie it all back together... I also don't think Sami has enough star-power or is enough of a surprise to counter the impact of The Rock injecting himself into the situation. Thats a really tough call.

The segment was amazing. Theres just one thing I think would have improved it, but maybe they didnt do it due to wanting to respect the Ulu Fala. I wish that Paul had kept clutching it throughout the attack, like he refuses to give it up even as they're beating him down. And then when hes finally put through the table they take it from him, as symbolism for the fact that he's not taking it the right way, its not being given to him, its being stolen. That would be a huge nugget for down the line. I definitely think the return is coming at Summerslam. Though there's one thing im not certain of. Does it happen before the match or after? And does Solo win the title?

Until this past Friday, I was kinda losing interest in this new Bloodline story. But now, I’m seeing the possibilities on where it can go. Paul Heyman is a genius performer that he legit got each member over and set up Roman’s return with that attack. From the very beginning of Solo’s start of taking over this new Bloodline I’ve suspected The Rock is behind it. At first Solo kept saying he was told by the “tribal chief” what to do each week. It is clear there will eventually be a Bloodline civil war between Solo’s new Bloodline with Rock as the tribal chief versus the OG Bloodline of Roman and the Usos and maybe one other new member who will debut later. Roman will get a hell of a reaction when he returns and Rock vs Roman will be the main event of WM 41. I wouldn’t be surprised if The Rock wins the undisputed WWE title too so that his match with Roman becomes a title match. Cody vs Rock will happen right before that main event to set up the main event. And this will be a big draw for WWE heading into their Netflix debut.

My proposal for the Rock's involvement: The Rock wants the two Bloodlines to fight, and is using his position on the board of directors to manipulate them in to doing so. He convinced Solo to betray Roman, he's connected Solo with all these new allies, and has taken actions to delay Roman's return etc etc. His motivation is be that he partially wants to get revenge on Roman for the loss at Mania - (he knows he can't beat Roman in a direct fight, so he attacks Roman where he's weakest - his family.), and partially that by keeping the full Ano'ai/Fatu/Malvia family divided no competition will arise to challenge his position as High Chief. That way, Roman has a solid babyface motivation - to reunite his family and defeat the person that's split them apart. It would be a sort of inversion of Roman uniting his family to secure power for himself in his previous 'run'. (He can still do heel stuff - He's obviously still mad at Cody and is still brutal.)

We know the end goal is Roman vs Rock, but from what The Rock said and wwe is hinting is that next year Mania is going to be Cody vs Rock, so what is Roman going to do? Are they going to stretch the bloodline feud until Mania for that Roman vs Solo singles match (assuming he returns at Summerslam)

For the wargames booking, if you really want to bring the old bloodline back together you put Sami with them. Before mania 39 Sami was the Honerary Uce of the bloodline, and had a great story, so that would be just a perfect reunion!

Here's how I would book the reformation of OG Bloodline: Jimmy, has been in the back lurking, watching, taking pictures, etc, sending it to Roman. He's also been keeping watch on Jey on Raw. After a few months, Jimmy shows up at MITB helping Jey win, proving his loyalty and solidarity to his brother. Then we can have a promo Monday, explain why he went through with everything he's done to Jey. Explain that he wanted to stop him from turning into an narcissistic asshole. Explain that Solo was in his ear, preying on his insecurities and that's why he attacked him all those times, cost him championships, and fought at Mania. He says he's willing to work on their relationship and Jey cautiously thank him for his help, but declines. Saying he's gonna have to do more to earn his respect and love back. Fast forward a few weeks, Jimmy has done everything to prove his loyalty. Only interfering if need be, but just watching over Jey's shoulder in the shadows, away from the locker room. Meanwhile, Roman returns at SmrSlm, and spears Solo out his boots. Beats his ass, then gets jumped by BL2.0, but manages to survive and escape relatively unscathed. Next Friday, Roman declares war, says he'll 1 v 4 them himself. Saying he took some time away, went to therapy, explaining that the pressures of being The Tribal Chief and expectations from the elders made him the way he was, but he also accepts responsibility and acknowledges the Usos and Solo for keeping him afloat in the last year of his reign. BL2.0 comes out and again, they beat him down. Roman is Roman so he survived, but less this time, a bloody something, and he's nursing his arm. Next few weeks Roman keeps antagonizing the BL2.0, and over on Raw, Jey and Jimmy are starting to get along and see eye to eye. And the next week when Roman is getting jumped, Jimmy goes out and helps him, but only enough for Roman to escape and Jim get beat. Reflections on the past, Roman sighs, running back down, and carrying Jim out to safety. The next week, Roman and The Usos, meet up somewhere and have a real heart to heart. Roman says he's sorry and that he knows he has to earn their trust. They talk a bit, with Jey being the main subject, Jey not budging too much. Next week on Raw, BL2.0 takes the fight to Raw, and attacks Jey. Roman and Jimmy makes the save, proving again, that they got his back. This stretches out until Roman v Solo is made. Then Roman v Jacob is made. Usos vs GoD is made, and then WarGames. The Rock is revealed somewhere during this as the person who's positioned Solo as The Tribal Chief. Probably at SrvSrs, costing OG BL.

Here’s what I’d do: Summerslam it’s jacob Fatu vs Jimmy Uso R-KO vs Tongans (maybe Tongans win the tag gold by this point) Cody vs Solo for the undisputed title Roman returns and Jimmy returns by his side, jey gets traded to Smackdown, and Kevin Owens becomes an honorary member of the OG bloodline because he has had respect of those three and has gone to battle against them since day 1 Cody and randy can then start their program with randy turning heel

Bloodline booking moving forward: Paul is out for now. At MITB, Jimmy returns and helps team Cody win. The bloodline start going after Jimmy. He goes to Jey for help. They reconcile, and feud with the Tongans going into summerslam. At summerslam, the Tongans are about to lose, but Solo and Jacob intervene, and cost the USOs the match. They start beating them and try to force them to acknowledge Solo. Roman and Paul return and Roman tells them to get their hands off his family. Roman tries to appear at the Monday raw after, but his contract was void in kayfabe. Paul works behind the scenes on this. Survivor series happens, and Heyman gets Roman cleared, and reveals it was rock that tried to kick roman off WWE. Personally, I want Roman the USOs and Sammy vs the bloodline 2.0 at war games. I see rock returning and costing OG bloodline the match. This sets up rock Roman at mania. Lots to fill in for the B PLEs and other stories for the members of new bloodline, but that’s the outline for the story I see.

6 man tag match at MITB. Jacob Fatu is not in the match but will become involved. The faces will be overwhelmed by the numbers game and Cody will say earlier in the show that he has called in a favour and thats when Roman shows up in the match. That sets up Roman vs Solo (maybe, or could be any member of the new bloodline) at Summerslam and then you spend the months between Summerslam and Survivor Series having Roman rebuilding the original bloodline as faces + Sami to face the new bloodline in WarGames

[Storywise] I had a major gripe with this new bloodline up until this smackdown. Where the hell is Roman? You're telling me in this age that he can't make a phone call or send an email? It's ridiculous. Or he just doesn't care anymore? Doesn't care if Paul Heyman gets beaten up by these bullies? Makes no sense. However... last smackdown Solo told Paul that "Roman is not coming back". This smackdown, the new bloodline had Roman's necklace somehow... Even though it belongs to Roman... I think I understand it now. I believe that in keyfabe Roman got ambushed and attacked by the new bloodline and got taken out just like it happened with Jimmy. Solo believes he won't recover anytime soon.

The pops get increasingly louder leading up to Roman. Bloodline 2.0 stands tall due to the numbers advantage to end the show. Next Friday, Randy turns on Cody setting up their program and Sami returns to help the OG Bloodline stand tall. In Survivor Series Warganes, The Rock returns to cost the OG Bloodline the match, setting up Rock vs Roman at mania.

I am actually thinking Roman will return at summerslam. I know Cody v Solo is being talked about a lot (with a lot of ppl just being pricks about it), so it makes sense if Roman shows up to beat the tar out of Solo. Also I LOVE Bloodline 2.0 because let’s be honest, all of Solo’s heavies….look like heavies! No disrespect to the USOs but the Tongas and Jacob Fatu are terrifying looking.
