While watching you work on the blood orange bowl, I saw a large, exotic flower. The yellow center, purpley peddles, the general shape, all suggest the idea! Lovely!

Well, the first attempt didn’t go as planed. I got a bad catch and sent it flying and it cracked. The next attempt went much better. It was a small live edge bowl made from Chinese Tallow. A friend came by today and fell in love with it and said it would make a great candle holder, I gave my friend the bowl. I’m working on my fifth bowl now, White Oak. Keep up the beautiful turning that you, you are the one that really inspired me to get into turning, but it may take a little time before it’s easy peasy.

Good work Phil, always enjoy your videos. FYI, I sold my Jet 16 42 and putting everything else in storage for 6+ months as we sold the house and are moving to Anderson Island. I'll keep watching...

Thank you, Peter! How will you get through the winter with no lathe? Will you be turning at your new place? Take good care and stay safe, my friend!

I see a beautiful endgrain bowl from which you just poured out a very smooth vanilla custard sauce. Lovely!! The blood orange fruit tastes like an orange but a little bitter and is of course blood coloured.

If you live in or have lived in Florida, the Blood Orange is well known. looks like the wood is just as pretty as the fruit is good. Great job.

I follow a few turners on KZbin ...you set a very high standard for your turnings. It's amazing the projects you have completed when looking at the source you started with. Excellent work.
