Thank you for watching today's Dragonlance Setting epusode. What do you think of the Bleu Lady's War? Was Lord Soth responsible for Kitiara's death? Leave a comment below!

I remember Kitiara's character being a high-risk/reward player. I feel like she knew it, and knew it would eventually lead to her downfall. If they expanded afterwards with what happened to her soul she would resent having lost, but I don't think she would have blamed Soth. I do really need to re-read the books, it's been far too long since I've enjoyed these stories.

Hello DL Saga. What's up Adam. Great Art here. The Blue Dragon with Lord Soth and Kitiara is awesome. Yeah it seems that the Evil side here kind of got in each others way. Fighting out of greed and a need for power...where as Tanis and the forces for good just wanted to live in peace. Not sure anyone could have saved Kitiara, as she seemed bent on serving The Dragon Queen. Another fun episode with good questions to ponder.

I feel that "evil" always eats itself in the end. At the beginning of any conflict evil is strong but then loses momentum and fights itself due to greed, ambition, jealousy etc. Evil's devotees lack the "selflessness" to carry the momentum home and inspire it's allies. And Good is just the opposite. Initially on the back-foot because it was attacked, and it takes selfless sacrifice to Jumpstart the overwhelming momentum that the forces of light can and do manifest (I think of this as righteous purpose). #Sturmlives

Hi@@DLSaga Thank you for doing these fantastic videos. Do video on High Lord Verminaard and the Red Dragon Army. It would be cool if you could play this as a d&d game The Blue Lady War .

Wow, you outdid yourself on the art in this one. Many of those images I had never seen before. Reading the prequel novels about Kit recently has given me a new perspective on her. I feel like she would have been a great emperor of Ansalon as, unlike Verminaard or Ariakus, she wasn't unnecessarily cruel and treated her underlings fairly, even drank and celebrated with them. She would have been able to keep the various dragonarmies unified for a long time, I think. Great vid, thanks!

I disagree that Kit wasn't unnecessarily cruel. She was certainly unnecessarily cruel to Laurana when Laurana was her prisoner (witness the scene where she has Laurana wrapped up like a mummy in winding cloth, nearly suffocating her), and The Soulforge shows that even before the War of the Lance Kitiara's idea of fun was torturing captives. Thus, there is very much a cruel streak to Kitiara that comes out when she has power over others.

@bwg4608 fair point. I was thinking more along the lines of torturing or mistreating her own troops like many others in the Dragonarmy were known to do. It's a common trope that evil leaders have to abuse or kill their own troops to earn their loyalty out of fear. And I don't think that works long-term as it sows rebellion among the ranks. I think Kitiara would have avoided that pitfall for a long time, had she succeeded Ariakus, as she had been successful in that area up till that point in time. Appreciate the conversation and welcome your thoughts on that! Cheers!

@@CANDROU1 I agree that Kitiara is better at caring for the needs of her troops than the other Dragon Highlords, but while she avoids the Stupid Evil trope of abusing her own troops, she is super susceptible to a different Stupid Evil trope, that of betraying one's allies. (Over the course of the Chronicles, Lost Chronicles and Legends we see her betray Raistlin (twice), Iolanthe, Lord Soth, and Dalamar, all of whom wanted to work with her.) I think her propensity to double cross her allies at the drop of a hat is every bit as self-destructive as Ariakas and Verminaard's brutality and would make any empire she ruled short-lived.

Pity Kitiara never wore the Crown of Power after reclaiming It, she already could claim the title of Dragon Empress. I Guess she never wanted to do It until her conqueat was complete.

I enjoy your videos, but i really think you should find another way to end the videos than, "and that is all i have to say about *topic*" You have more to say in the comments, etc, and i think its pretty obvious you aim for approx 10min on these videos. Would sound more authentic and professional if you just went straight to the questions at the end and skip that line, imo
@DLSaga6 ай бұрын
Thank you for the suggestion. Under 10min is the goal, and the questions are about the subject matter but not continued discussion on it. I’m trying to illicitly engagement from the viewers. I will continue trying to improve on the episodes. Have a great day!

@DLSaga yeah, I just think it's obvious that someone that is as knowledgeable as you obviously are about DL that you have a whole lot more than you could say about these topics. Just a thought, ill still keep watching, regardless. Thanks for the DL content. I'm surprised by how rare it seems to be on YT
