So, each one of those lights are representative of one large commercial fishing trawler. These vessels average 200 ft. long, 40ft. wide. The teal, purple, and sometimes red LED light's mounted all around the perimeter of the ship indicate these specially engineered ships are hunting only one of the oceans creatures, squid. Fisherman have known for some time that these colors attract squid and cause them to come up from the depths, right into their nets. These vessels are draining the life out of the ocean, 24/7, staying at sea for six months at a time, only stopping to offload the "catch" to a transport ship that meets up on their route to ensure the trawler can quickly return to the business of depleting the ocean of life. This practice in not sustainable on any level, and will undoubtably lead to the extinction of sea creatures that have existed on this planet longer that the homo sapiens responsible for their demise. @@ngardam1320

0:45 Georgia lies in front of us in the middle, Armenia and Azerbaijan on the right and we are flying towards the Caspian Sea. 3:30 We fly over Turkmenistan and to the left is first Iran and then Afghanistan. The mountains are Kopet Dag marking the border between Turkmenistan and Iran, Hindu Kush in Afghanistan and Pakistan and Pamir the roof of the world. 5:30 Now we are over Afganistan and can recognise the Registan Desert as a "square structure". 6:55 On the left the Tigris and on the right the Euphrates and in the middle the artificial lake Therthar can be seen. So we are over the Irka with flight direction Persian Gulf. 8:50 Kuwait is below us, Saudi Arabia on the right and later Bahrain and Qatar on the large semi-island. Iran on the left. 9:50 Qatar on the great peninsula, then the United Arab Emirates and Dubai. 10:40 Now the man-made islands in Dubai can be seen. 11:15 Then we fly over Oman towards the Arabian Sea.
