My kind of BBQ sauce (NO BBQ smoky & sweet sauce is better than any kind of ), pickles are great and the patty has to be without any gristle at all ! And you're right about the tomatoes, sensei 😉Paul !

Usually BBQ in Japan is more like teriyaki, but even this was disappointing in that regard... But yes! That tomato thing is so annoying :(

Hi Paul and Aaron! Always good to see you two in another video. Sometimes I watch these burger videos and I think it would only take a few steps for the vendors to improve their burgers. In this case, toasting the buns, seasoning the burgers, and maybe using simply ketchup rather than the mystery barbecue sauce would have helped. I wonder if the eateries ever see your videos, and make adjustments, because you two have thoughtful comments. Thanks for another great video.

You've gotten a lot of good burgers, so I guess it was time for a so so one. I know a lot of people love toasted buns and I don't mind them, but I grew up on steamed buns, so that's my prefrence.

For me the buns often get soggy and fall apart in Japan. That’s why I prefer the toasted buns because they hold together better.

Just an FYI, that McDs Canada has released for a limited time McShaker fries. Same idea as the Shaka-Shaka fries, you so often show. Two seasonings of Masala and Churro…. Didn’t know churro was a flavour, other than deep fried dough. Lol. I will certainly have to try the masala seasoning.

Thanks for the heads-up. Can't wait to start seeing some reviews from Canadian channels. Interesting flavours ---I wonder if churro will be a cinnamon sugar type thing...?

I agree with Aaron, not a thick/super juicy burger fan. Smash burgers taste the best in my opinion and the moisture is still there, especially with toppings and things. I like my steak medium but never do I want a burger like that - I find you can taste the rawness and its offputting.
@CriticalEatsJapan8 ай бұрын
Yeah, I do like a more thoroughly cooked burger ;)

This one sounded like a bust. Bummer. I prefer more of a smash patty these days. There's something about that extra charred flavor that you get. I totally understand what you're saying about the tomato! I hate when I have a burger/sandwich and bite into that hard center, so I appreciate that they took the time to remove it!
@CriticalEatsJapan8 ай бұрын

Very literal name for the burger truck but branding wise it was kind of ingenious. Bit weird not toasting the bun or no burger diaper. Sad about the bbq sauce not having any flavour, the bun not toasted and the patty being a bit gristly, no flavour and probably a stock standard one. Burger wise I like decent sized patty, more of a medium ground on the beef and well cooked. It needs to have at a minimum a toasted bun, cheese, mustard and pickles. Spicy is always a welcome addition also.
