I remember playing contact with the older boys at the neighborhood park. This docci really brought back great memories. Much respect to these young men and major s/o to the coach!

Brotherhood is a beautiful thing... I visted and lived in Auckland for awhile and found the whole gangster asthetic to be a guise tbh, Islanders are the warmest hearted people I ever met and lived with. I really mean it. There is a pureness to most of their characters and I always tell everyone Yall'r my favorite people on Planet Earth. Much love from a Texan country boy.

I think its a problem that these kids think that other kids get given a lot, "like cars". The truth is very few kids are given a lot. Most nz children arent much different than them materially. And kids today in general have far more than kids did even a decade ago. Keep positive boys, and keep working and youll have a bright future.

Yeh its a classic case of uninformed judgment that all levels of class have of eachother though (generally speaking). Rich and poor perspectives driven by stereotypical beliefs. Thats almost exactly where the conversation swerves. If there was a life swap where kids from different backgrounds stayed with other families, then they would see and hear a different perspective to their own.

I don't think it is as bad kids make it out. Their parents feed them, clothe them and put a roof over their head. I think it's more envy if anything. Most of those gripes for a kid growing up is just an inconvenience. Generally the social welfare (if they are) is meant to help the less fortunate at least meet these minimal standards, I dunno how it is in nz, but this is what it should aspire to. I also think that as kids they are definitely focussing on the wrong things that they are disadvantaged at. Because alot of the real inequality comes from long term it's harder for a kid to measure these things. Things like education gaps, income gap, employment opportunities, investment opportunities, etc etc. I would challenge any of these kids complain to their parents about their gripes and see what happens....I think alot of the parents would feel shame their kids feel this way, when both shouldn't. It is lucky enough to be in a country where there is a welfare safety net that can support the less fortunate, even if it is potentially at the bare minimum.

It’s more about how the rest of the country perceives South Aucklanders too. Like some of the kids said, it’s actually a warm community like they have to explain to the media and the rest of NZ that’s it’s not actually as bad as they make it out to be. Postcode snobbery is unfortunately a reality in NZ too.

@@CheekyDarkey well the message is, that it isn't bad. the kids are positive about the community aspect and understand the misconceptions about them and their community. I do think growing up (even for myself) the perception from kids is, that everyone else has it better, and it's usually something material (like cars, nice clothes, phones etc).

Yeah! yeah!🥱🙄 Same shit, diffrent day, since 70s,80s,90s, and now still in 2000s. We all come from hardship no matter what hood in NZ Akld or around the world! Places around the world look at Otara as a paradise 😉👍. Whn I came bk too NZ, I learned that nobody needs too live in hardship (FACTS) Education is key. If you don't know then go and ask! These days there's heaps of opportunities n support to support you or your parents to help you grow and teach you the tools you need to achieve in life. Poor people choose to be poor, bcoz of pride or shame or bcoz they don't know!!! Get over tht bullshit, and I promise you your life has now beginning! The kid said Pray! Yes of course. But with prayers comes actions! Kp striving forward. Im no Saint, but I'm still pushing forward bcoz faaark that I'm not going backwards every again hurts too much. Key word is CHOICES! I cn go on, but fark tht. Anywzys to our people BE STRONG!!! God bless 🤌🤙💯

@MrTrollbaby
@MrTrollbaby Жыл бұрын
True that cuz. Well said. It takes strong self belief to maintain a positive perspective. You're right about today there being more support and opportunity out there. But not every person is built the same (mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually) so even when presented the same opportunity your gonna get a whole bunch of different responses. Not all poor people are stupid or unintelligent to a point of "choosing" to be poor. Life is actually unfair but only according to comparisons we make when judging ourselves and others. Yep, a lot of shame and guilt holds us back from doing better if not our best. Anyways, sounds like you on a roll in life cuz. Go hard or go....... Harder!! Stay plus🤟🏾
@oliveira9137

@@MrTrollbaby Good facts 👍. We all built different yes. And life is unfair yes. And not all poor people are stupid yes. I disagree, I say all poor people are very Intelligent in many different ways, most through Physical actions, others through Education, we all hv something to offer. Life is unfair yeah sure, but nothing in life is free! If we keep thinking that way then we all loose. I wouldn't say I'm doing well, but I'm better then yesterday, I dont have all the answers, but I'm fighting everyday to hustle, if I don't hustle today, then I don't eat that week! And if life is unfair then I embrace it! I use it for fuel too keep fighting forward. Refuse too use it as an excuse. Bcoz I don't want too have ZERO 💰💰💰 in my bank account, I refuse too look back at my pass as a bum, as a street kid, I refuse too go back on the Unemployment benefits. I refuse too see our people suffer based on CHOICES!!! They should base it on value then choices become easier and then actions. Like I said I cn go on. Hardship is every where. This video just showed a BAD SEED pass on to our next generation singing that same song 🎵 in 2000s now that's unfair! 🤦‍♂️. Thanks for comment bruv I can see you have heart kp strong ma bro together we are unbreakable 😎🤙💯🔥

But I disagree thinking rich and becoming rich is not good mindset I say🤷‍♂️. If you chase money you will be worst off! But if you chase education you will live comfortable and happy. Upgrade your skills! Good thing about education you start with nothing, and you leave with an education😉🤌💯Facts. "Give a man a Million dollars, he will be satisfied until the money runs out! Teach a man how too use many tools, he will be satisfied for a life time! And rich in many different ways 💯❤🔥🥂
